  1. right now we might be finally getting there :-) can i bypass this to see if it is this causing the sound? or just get a new one and hope? or is there a way i can test it....
  2. this part yea? how would i go about checking or adjusting this then? i didnt really alter anything, just removed the pipe and disconected the actuator from the body of the pipe...
  3. can you elaborate on this please mate? not sure what you mean.... i did have the pipe off that this was on to clean it up and paint, i dont recall adjusting anything there though? its like an actuator yea? i may have tried to remove it from the pipe, but then just put masking tape round it. how can i check/correct that? also if i put the car in TTC mode will that help me trouble shoot anything?
  4. what sound isit mate? isit the same sound as the never ending problem i have? i think mine is a leak by the sounds, only comes on when 1st turbo is coming in, ive put a brand new turbo on thinking it was broke but sound still remains... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?264246-boost-whistling-issue-not-boost-leak/page3 is that like yours?
  5. do smoke tests find leaks in vacuum pipes? what about the vsvs if they are open/closed will it prevent certan leaks being found?
  6. im in llantrisant, thank for the offer. ive been to see a few members on here about it.. verdict was the 1st turbo. but changed it and still doing it..
  7. checked the ic hoses and samcos first. removed and put back on still same. will have to do a boost leak test on the intercooler itself and see if any bubbles come from that itself..
  8. yep iv put an air line in engine twice and put soapy water in various places and not found leak. and smoke test too with a fag. the intake manifold bolts and throttl body have been checked, the same gaskets were re used but iv read they are re usable, and boost leak t test wasnt showing signs of leaks there. would you say its coming from a splut vacuum pipe? or a larger area metal surfce leak? the intercooler itself maybe?
  9. ye know too loud. dont know how the hell to find it though. would it be a vacuum leak through a small pipe? boost leak test didnt point to anything. any tips how to locate be great
  10. VIDEOS ive just recorded 3 short videos of the sound. i think some of you may say its normal. but some will say its whistling too loud. it is whistling too loud for me, and i dont think it should be as loud as it is..... any ideas? just to confirm its boosting fine & second turbo comes in fine.
  11. thanks for input guys. il get a video up soon of it. i was fitting the turbo 9pm last night just so can take the car to a wedding today :-) im getting ready to go now so il report back in a day :-) at least iv got a new hybrid turbo now lol
  12. bump - correction to thread! got the turbo on last night. car still makes the noise! :-( spent £500 on new turbo for nothing. back to the drawing board to find the noise. gutted
  13. yep as above the top two are water feeds. but you only use one feed, other came with a blanking plug :-) oil feed was underneath
  14. ive just got my turbo back from CR turbos after a refirb. my car is up my garage, 10miles away, and the turbo is in my house. i remember taking 1 oil feed off, and 1 water feed, but there is another port on it. was there 2 oil feeds? im sure all will be obvious when i go back up my garage and look...
  15. Lude

i thaught that all supra JZA80 are CT12, not sure though
  16. Lude

    Brakes

    where too you from pal....
  17. just get one length of hose from ebay, correct diameter & cut to size
  18. ^ +1 my battery terminal sparks when put on, also if i leave my car around 2 weeks the battery isnt the best. asume either old, or alarm drains it (or both) so i can live with that. if i were you id just disconnect the air con, unless you NEED it
  19. have you got too much fluid in there? i didnt have too much issue bleeding. front jacked up, lid off resivour, turn all they way left, then all the way right, keep toping up to correct level
  20. i think you need to have one terminal to the 12v on the battery, then one terminal to the negative on the battery. nothing to do with the engine on as you are testing directly from the battery... they should "click" to show they are working
  21. just leave the old one there i guess you could. hope it is the pressure tank for you. fingers crossed here for you :-)
  22. your not suppost to brim them with fluid, if you look they have hot and cold marks on the lid dipstick. check the rubber pipes for leakes. is the fluid frothing/bubbling with the cap off? that would indicate air in system
  23. boost controller and raise it up?
  24. thanks mate i called them erlier. going to get mine refirbed with Steel internals, rarther than the paper material of the stock blades lol
