  1. Ideally want the sub in a box and the amp should be a good match (ie no 100W amp driving a 700W sub etc). Let me know what you got.
  2. As title really. Need them to be in smoke free good working condition.
  3. Hi guys, I just tried the valve out on my mates S15 Silvia and it sounds much much better than when it was on mine. It has an extended whoosh after the loud chirp. It sounds exactly like below: Problem with mine is that it makes a small chirp and then a small amount of whoosh. Something is definitely not right. It seems to be getting muffled by something but the only thing I can think of is the carpety stuff thats stuck onto the inside of the bonnet.
  4. Ah ok. I've always been with my mate in his Silvia when I've seen you.
  5. Video no longer works. Does anyone have another link??
  6. Saw you again on Monday around 7pm going in the opposite way to me in Tanterton.
  7. Not sure what time but was some time in the afternoon. You overtook a learner driver heading towards a RB out of Cottam then I'm not sure which way you went (either left towards Tom Benson way or right towards Tanterton). I was in my mates white S15 Silvia Spec R going the opposite way but then turned around to try and catch you up for a little 'play' but you were long gone and the roads were too busy so left it.
  8. Looked very nice and clean. Anyone off here??
  9. Now sorted. The small vacuum hose was being blocked slightly so just re-fitted the valve after cutting the actual DV hose down a little. Working like a charm now
  10. Hi guys I have a JDM Supra TT 6 and have just fitted a HKS SSQV to it. I have all BPU mods apart from remap & FMIC. Problem is the SSQV makes the chirping noise when letting off but I don't get much of a whoosh after it. It's like a small chirp and that's it. Is this normal? I'm still using the standard airbox. Would it be more noticeable if I had an induction kit? Also another thing is the SSQV I've got came off a UK Supra TT so the adaptor is fitted so the valve faces the front of the car instead of the back of the car like on other setups I've seen. This means it doesn't sit properly inside the gap where the stock valve is as the rear of the SSQV is pretty big Is it an easy job to rotate the actual adaptor? This will mean the rear of the valve will be facing the front of the car so will fit a little better as there's more room there. Sorry if I've confused any of you.
  11. That's a nice install Lui just been reading about it now. Do you reckon I could hit my target 550bhp if I throw some cams in? Mines a 6 speed manual. Where did you purchase the kit from?
  12. I already have all the BPU bits on my car already. FMIC is being sorted as we speak so just ECU and injectors with a good remap. Do you have any dyno graphs? What's the max horsepower you have made on this kit heckler? EDIT: Don't worry about the clutch as I'll just change it when it's blown so not an issue for now. I already have uprated brakes & clutch might also be uprated. I just want to know about this turbo kit.
  13. Thinking of going for the very last kit in the link below as have decided that I'm after a little bit more power than what the OEM TT setup can offer me. I'm after around 550bhp at the fly which after some research, will feel marginally quicker than the OEM twins. Anyone running this kit? It's a fairly reasonably priced kit too so I would just need to have it mapped with bigger injectors. Also seems like a straight fit. Will I need an external wastegate? http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateM7.asp?SubFolderID=211&SearchYN=N
  14. SORTED! Finally decided to fix the issue. I couldn't get the duct off (no screws that I could spot either) so I left it there and stuck my head behind it in the drivers footwell looking up into the loom and there it was! Turbo timer is now all wired in correctly and all the wiring is very tidy with the timer itself located on the bottom of the main dash so it's like a factory fit now I've now got the unresolved issue where the car unlocks itself after the timer has finished counting down and the engine cuts out but I've got in touch with a mobile auto electrician who is confident he can get my Toad AI606 alarm working with the timer. Also going to request a manual from Toad tomorrow so I can have a look through the different modes to see if they make any difference. Will keep this thread updated if I manage to fix it so other owners can benefit with a working turbo timer. Would have thought in 15 years my car has been around that no one has ever managed to fix this issue yet. Thanks to everyone who helped me especially Dr Doom for the useful link and helping me pin point the location of the harness.
  15. Damn I think I was nearly there as all I had to do was remove the air duct!! Can't believe I didn't see these instructions before I started. I'll have another go at it tonight or something.
  16. Wow mate that's an ace video to watch. Your car is awesome and you're a pretty good driver! Good time Quick question: will I need to block off one of the pipes when I fit this or is it a direct install?
  17. Car is now booked in with DCMS in Burnley so will see how he gets on.
  18. That's exactly what I'm thinking about doing Gaz. The Supra just doesn't seem to be a turbo timer friendly car. I spoke to Blitz and had a bit of an argument with them trying to tell them that there's no plug located around the ignition barrel area and that I'm unable to get to the back of it and their reply was that I'm not looking hard enough and I need to take more panels off even though I've removed pretty much all of them so there's no dash at all apart from loads of wires sticking out of places. He then said it's sometimes located in the steering cowling which is impossible for me to open up without breaking it further.
  19. Anyone? If no answers, I'll just sell it off or give it to my mate or something.
  20. As above as I accidentally broke mine while trying to fit my TT to my car.
