  1. Tried the fuel mate? If not whats the afr gauge showing? Other than that it could be sticky intake or exhaust valves? Might be the fuel pressure is too low? Possibly timing? Taken from wikipedia: "When starting an engine, timing that is too advanced will fire the spark plug before the intake valve is closed. The flame front will travel back in to the intake manifold, igniting all of that air and fuel as well. The resulting explosion then travels out of the carburetor and air cleaner. A common air filter will allow the gases to escape, but will block the flame front"
  2. Lol, anytime bud, maybe see you at a meet. live in gosforth, how about yourself?
  3. Difficult to tell in pics but I think in the flesh it would look better with the rings covered, but the pics wont do it justice
  4. Just realised you're in my neck of the woods, would have offered to take you out in mine but I've just gone single! Mapping is next saturday
  5. Lol, was going to say get him to SRR with JamieP's black beast and a whole bunch of other big hp supra's
  6. Was going to say have it aswell lol - just grab it off Hodge matey, will do me a favour as I'd prefer to revise for my exams rather than go out and post the VSV But if Hodge suddenly doesn't have one drop me a PM and I'll sort mine out for you
  7. Exactly that, have a drive in both of the cars and you'll see why a TT is so much more exciting - you won't get bored, and IF you do there's always single turbo
  8. Off the line a tt won't feel as quick as an evo, but once you're going the supra will feel so much better, you can't beat the pull of the twins
  9. Which one you need bud? The big one or the little solenoid thing? Have both sitting in the garage
  10. I'm not doing the build so it's up to jurgen if he wants to make a project thread really. I'm assuming they have as I've not had a phone call saying it doesn't fit and I haven't had time to pop down - exams!
  11. I run Michelin PS2's (315/30/18) on my BPU and in 3rd gear flooring it they do sometimes loose traction when the 2nd tubbie kicks in but cornering etc they are great, so for an N/A should be great all round imo
  12. Are these fully adjustable, as in height and "stifness" (right word?) or is it just height adjustable?
  13. My single build is under way at the moment I've pieced everything together myself though but it's a turbonetics hp-70 turbo on a whifbitz manifold, have uprated the injectors rail, lines, ecu (power fc), keeping the stock intake as for cams the car has some custom reprofiled cams in so I'm sticking with those. So stock block with uprated cams, 70mm bb turbo, uprated fuelling and I'm hoping for around 600. It gets mapped on the 11th june so you keep on eye out for the dyno thread to see what it produces as it's reasonably close to what you're asking about I think

Hi and welcome Pain in the ass if (or is it when) they go wrong Expensive to run... hell yes but well worth it for the enjoyment everytime you drive! We love pics by the way matey
  15. Lol, I think it's all one big plot so John can pull it and start doing more tinkering with the engine
  16. Which ones you ordered then? Would have offered for you to use mine in the mean time to make sure everything else was alright but they're side feeds...
  17. Lovely car matey, really needed those facelifted lights in. Top job, keep it coming
  18. Agree with 20mph around schools as you get kids jumping out etc etc But these ones in the link are to "improve rural safety" not for schools - imo it's a bit excessive but then again I don't actually know the figures for rural speed related injuries......
  19. How deep is it bud, looks pretty shallow to me, also are they spaces for 10" subs or 12"?
  20. I think the ones mentioned for that power range are Competition, RPS and Southbend no idea on which models or anything though
  21. Well water cooling can't do any harm can it? So it's got to do more good for the turbo than bad Plus imo it's quite obvious to see that any extra cooling, no matter how small, is going help in some way or another
  22. jazzy best bet is to send him a PM - he may have an email alert or something set up so he can get in touch with you quicker
  23. I really doubt it's stem seals, but I'd rather another member confirms it first. I'm 99% certain it's the turbo oil seals, either it came like that or something got into your turbo from the manifold or wherever and punctured the seal
  24. Well I'm not an expert but would assume that a stroker kit would result in top end bhp increasing due to the increased displacement? And the quoted figures for the turbo will be on a big engine at full whack with race fuel etc etc As for turbo choice it would seem pretty good, but why not go for one of the new "Batmowheel" ones - seem to put some good figures out, smaller turbo but more power, been shown on more than one car aswell Also it would be good to know what you're going for and the rest of your spec - just because I'm nosy
