  1. From what I can see mate, this is the way forward !!
  2. Well I fitted my 2nd decat yesterday (Whifbitz) ....still have 1st one on at the mo (but not for long) so I have stainless 2.5" system from 1st cat back and after measuring the db's with "noisewatch" app downloaded on my phone it measures 71 db's at 2k revs, this reading was taken about 12" from tailpipe .......Very happy with the noise level and will be proceeding full steam ahead with the removal of my 1st at the earliest opportunity I understand that this reading is probably not deadly accurate . N/A .
  3. Does this product fill scratches etc ? Surely they need wet and drying out first ?
  4. It looks like another one of the masses that we see everyday ...... Most modern cars are beginning to look the same regardless of make .......Maybe I just need spectacles but I really don't like it and (imo) it looks nowhere near as good as the mk4 supra .
  5. I'll be sticking with a 2.5" bore that will aid the back pressure ......slightly ...
  6. Decatting the car will increase your power as it is less stifled by the gasses trying to escape, it is a 2.5" pipe as Graham points out .....From what I can gather the 3" system will increase noise level by a couple of db ...... The main thing is the huge increase in noise level from removing both cats .
  7. I only made the tool up to tighten the bolt up again , to get it undone I put a bar and socket on the bolt rested on the ground , held in place by myself whilst my girlfriend gave it the quickest flick of the ignition and hey presto ....worked a treat, 1st time and very easy
  8. Decat turned up today ...... its a lovely piece of steel ......can't wait to fit it
  9. I fashioned one from a piece of iron and you are welcome to use it if you like ....I have some bolts too ....I am in swadlincote which isn't too far away from you I think ? PM me if you like Rob.
  10. Well I've purchased the Whifbitz 2nd decat so we'll soon see what difference it makes .....although I'm pretty sure that I'll also be buying the 1st decat soon afterwards no matter how loud it goes .....I figure ..........What the hell !!
  11. Send us the payment details dude ........I'm itching
  12. Make sure NOTHING has been dropped and left in the spark plug wells ......last thing you want is to take plug out and something falls past and ends up inside
  13. Think the best thing to do is to do the second one first and then go from there
  14. Hmmm, interesting, I initially thought there would be more gains by removing the second one .....my line of thought is that there is more force ramming the gasses through the first than the second thus the second would stifle more .....?????
  15. Is the twin box in place of the cats or would I have to buy the twin box set up on top of the decats ....Thing is, I already have a fairly new stainless cat back exhaust .....what to do ???
  16. Is it really that bad ? My girlfriend wouldn't get in my Celica as I'd decatted that and she complained about the constant droning in her head ....I thought it sounded good .....I guess it would be a fair bit louder than that yes ? The thing is , I would like to improve the power without messing with the engine and just removing one will prob not improve it that much ????
  17. Yeah I reckon that would be the sensible thing to do ..........I guess I'll have to think on it for a while, maybe look out for one that doesn't have any on so I can gauge just how extreme it would become ....thanks Ian
  18. Thanks for the heads ups guys - - - Updated - - - Hi Ian, do you still have your first cat on or have you taken both off ?
  19. I'm looking to decat my n/a but can only find them for the gte (turbo) .....are they the same ....oh it's jspec by the way ...... Thankyou
