  1. Mine was losing a little too ......I had three minor weeps, 1 from the oil filter housing to block (new rubber seal sorted it) 1 from the bigger of the two "Allen" studs on the oil filter housing above the filter (thorough cleaned threads and threadlock sorted that) and dizzy O ring ....... All fine now
  2. Pictures too .............Is this similar to the N/A ? Scratch that David .......just visited your thread Thanks again .
  3. Thanks for the heads up buddy
  4. I'm an N/A driver (daily) and its my baby, its my 2nd, the extra power of a turbo would be nice but they aint got the reliability that we have ...........I don't care what anybody says about it but I can tell you this , for every critical ONE there are 20+ droolers . One day I may look for a TT but only a totally standard one ......reliability again you see .......more money = more problems
  5. May not be relevant but check fuses too .
  6. I bet its absolutely filthy under the bonnet
  7. True story .........thanks for pointing that out
  8. First one at 39 and second at 43 .......:
  9. Thanks for that Gaz .......not lazy though , just unsure of how to
  10. Item number 121118867339 .........must be worth this in parts ??????
  11. Ahh its only a scratch, ...now, when I caught my finger in the alternator fan ........that was a sight to behold
  12. Only thing that springs to mind is excess stresses on the pulley .....belt having to work harder pulling other pulleys round .....are all of your other ancilliaries turning freely .....alternator/power steering/tensioner/aircon etc .......they should last way longer than yours seem to be doing One other thing causing the rubber bonding to fail is excessive temperatures heat or cold ???
  13. They look great and I will defo be doing this myself
  14. I always use Opie for my oil and filter and never had a problem .....5w40
  15. Just done mine too and it was the same on my Celica when I decatted that .....there is a sleeve that sits proud , out of the back of the first cat that the second cat slides over, this has to be "cut" off and made flush for the decat pipe to marry up and seal
  16. 5w40 fully synthetic is in my 94 N/A .
  17. Well I took a reading earlier at 4800rpm and it seems that the "noisewatch" app is less effective than I had estimated giving a db reading of , wait for it ....................71 db .......................again !!! Gonna have to get this done properly at some point but not sure where yet ......still sounds the same on tickover as it did before I took the 2nd cat off but sounds crisper on acceleration . I will not be taking my car to any tracks by the way so no noise restriction will apply there .
