Cut the rubber away and use a pencil torch to apply some heat to the heads of the screws then use a perfect fitting screwdriver and they come straight out ......the loctite needs heating to free up

Its amazing how much crap came out and with persistence I reckon it would be possible to get lots more out, I see why dude used drain cleaner in his .....obviously the more that comes out then the better circulation and hotter the heater.

I tried raising the revs and it ended up raising the coolant and spitting it out, so after dropping them and deciding to take it for a blast I figured it wouldn't harm it by undoing the top hose and topping it up that way first and then sealing the system and taking the car out but as I undid the top hose the coolant rose through that too so I knew it had managed to find its way around the engine ........checked it today after driving to work and back and the rad level was spot on , just needed the bottle topping up ......still have warm air

I loaned a small compressor with airline.

Sounds like its the thrust bearing if it goes quiet when clutch is pressed .

Drained my coolant today, connected hose up to heater pipes at the bulkhead and flushed through both ways a couple of times and did get some shite out but it was only when I connected the airline up to it to blow the water out (in readiness for the coolant) did I get a mega amount of crap out so I flushed with water again then blasted with air again etc etc. Put back together with new thermostat and only filled via the rad, left ticking over with heater blowing max and full .....didn't seem to be filling/bleeding up properly, 15 mins later heater still blowing cold so I topped the expansion bottle up and took it for a blast up to 100 or so then all of a sudden......hey presto.....its blowing hot ....YAY Lets hope it stays this way.

I'm going to fill mine via the heater pipes, the top rad hose and the rad itself all of this while the front end is up on my ramps, may even put a 15mm "T" piece in at the top heater pipe with a compression fit "stop" on it as I recall another member doing this to get all the air out of his .....none of which should be necessary but ....... None of which I can do until I get hold of a compressor to blow all the tap water out of the system after flushing

I've only had this one a year or so but it never blew hot anyway only warm and now just a warm trickle when on its lowest setting.......my brother thinks that the water pump should not be ruled out ?

Mine has just stopped warming up too , gonna start by flushing it out adding new coolant and thermostat ......I hope this sorts it out although after reading this i'm not holding my breath ..... Hope you get it sorted soon. Will you post on here when you sort it please ?

I lost mine a while ago and just hammered a socket over the top and removed them ...all 4 , same socket......just make sure your other 4 wheel nuts are tight which will ease the pressure on the locking one ......simples.

Well I have had both cats off for a couple of months now and although it is very loud (which I kinda like ) the noise that is annoying me is the "farting, blowing" noise under load .....it sounds a little like bumble bee (transformers) but is horrible from inside the cabin .....I presume a double box on the back cuts this out ??? I am considering putting my second cat back on just to see if it stops the farting Its definately not blowing from anywhere either .

Dude ....What have you done .......now it's just another silver soop .....I kinda liked that wrap .
