I was led to believe that if cut it would show or register some kind of warning/fault, mine has been tied up for over a year now. Grind the tops of the bolts off to get it off the cat.

Shame you're not closer to me, I've had extensive experience at getting these off and I even have a spare manifold that could be put on in its place with good studs..... You're just too damn far away :-(

Defo the 1JZ conversion.....I can't tell you how much I love this engine

Don't need a guide it's easy, just refresh the solder on the circuit board with an iron (a soldering iron).

I'm pretty sure that they are, in fact I'm using a 2jz starter on my 1jz at the moment.

Disconnect hoses then put a hosepipe into the top hose (pack it with something so its a snug fit) and then run clean water through your system to hopefully carry any crap out....I also did this through my heater pipes (above top rear of engine where they go into the bulkhead) when I had a problem with it not blowing hot air and managed to get quite a bit of muck out. Rad fan shroud will just help concentrate the fan on the rad.

Tipex line down the pulley then run it and keep an eye on the line separating/moving.
