  1. One moment that stands out for me is when I first bought the Supra. I had gone over to the mainland to view the car and put a down payment on it and arranged to pick it up the following weekend. I had just pulled onto the M27 from the M3, driving a very nice looking FTO at the time, road was pretty empty and a Lotus Elise pulls along side. I wasn't in the mood to play or be humiliated so I let him go off on his own. Suddenly in my rear view loomed a low, red, TS bonnet, wingless Supra. As he pulled along side he gave the FTO a look and then with a howl set off after the Lotus. Once on him the Lotus was obviously giving it everything but had to concede and the Supra screamed off into the distance. I just sat there and thought, I've got one of those, I can't wait. So if you're on here mate, thanks and your Supra looked lovely.
  2. Yep, use mine as a daily. Don't see the point of not driving a car I love so much whilst I have the chance. Nothing worse than driving a car that the masses drive.
  3. Very nice, a big welcome, aero FTW. Get to Suprapod this year, you will love it. (although the chances of taking the lid off are limited - weather has not been on our side, but one day, oh, one day, us aero boys will shine )
  4. Well done, nice little show of cars there. Looks like you got a nice day. Good pics. and a nice vid. Good work all 'round.
  5. Very, very nice mate. Good balance of kit and wheels, very clean.
  6. Sad news indeed. Nobody deserves to go through such mental anguish just for doing thier job. RIP.
  7. Excellent guide mate and fair play you are a braver man than me. The picture of all the wires in your hand gives me shivers, I hate auto electrics. Good work.
  8. Good little project and nice to see you saving it and not just stripping it for the bits and letting it die, well done.
  9. I love Glaciers, walking on them is one of the greatest rushes in life, so beautifully fascinating but so unpredictably dangerous. Oh, by the way welcome and pic's off the Supra would be good.
  10. Hyper black will look really nice. Not a fan of flat black unless the're on a black car.
  11. Enchanted Manor is real nice, also The Hambrough in Ventnor and The Priory Bay near Ryde, all a few bob though. The New Holmwood in Cowes is a Best Western so better priced and right on the sea front and the Royal in Ventnor is very nice. Walking on the Island is good, especially over the West Wight. As for the in-breeding, I'm not from the island but let me just say, if you ask for directions here it can get confusing due to the six digits of the locals pointing you in odd directions. Whatever you do I hope you enjoy it and like Jake, me and the misses are happy to meet up for a mini meet if we're about.
  12. Congratulations mate, she is a real tiny bundle. Enjoy every minute, they grow up so quickly.
  13. Looking bling bling mate, very nice. (Oh and big thanks for the offer, I may hold you to it!).
  14. Just seen this on SF (don't know how I missed it here ). Loving that JP, my favorite bonnet for the Supra, nice work. (Whispers - standard wing back please).
  15. Thanks Adam for the kind words of encouragement, You should let me get my hands on a certain Green aero top at some point Is that an offer to clean the engine bay?
  16. Good work fella, car is lovely. The lip is just the job and finishes the look.
  17. Nice buy, looks like you know your plans for it. You will love it once the sun starts to shine again. Welcome.
  18. Noz is right mate. Yours is a drive a day and you look after it and work on making it look really nice and all that work is really worthwhile. You have a really nice motor Jake and it's a credit to the time you put into it and I know how much you enjoy owning a Supra. Looking nice mate, well done.
  19. My Supra is everything that I was looking for, except that it was N/A and not TT so that is the change that will be done to it, eventually. The reason for buying this one is that after six years of looking for a DJG, Facelift, Aero, I seriously doubted a TT was going to turn up. Simples.
  20. Hammer

    Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Glad you are ok, had an FTO that ended up looking like that, nasty. Don't want to be a vulture but you don't want to sell on the rear bolts from the lid do you? Again, glad you're OK.
  21. Cool, cheers mate. The museum, in or out would be good. Also the Beehive, one with the Ferry in the background at the harbour and the view from Mt. Victoria (if you can get up any part of it, I can't remember). That would be choice (do you guys still say that )
  22. Looks lovely mate. The wheels give it a really clean look and with nothing spoiling the original lines the whole car looks like new. Love it.
  23. Interest here also. As said, price in and out of the group buy is the factor. They are a nice looking seat.
