Iv sold new Mazda's for nearly 5 years. This is the biggest problem with them. Your right they put crap ones in at the factory. You should be able to claim a new one under warranty, but they will only change it if it wont hold charge. With regards to the gearbox, the new shape box is quite notchy, to be fair most Mazda box's are notchy, apparently its supposed to feel "sporty" and "zoom-zoom"

iv cleaned it 3 times and still no joy, its was so close to starting the 2nd time i cleaned it, there was even smoke coming out the exhaust but it wouldnt quite start, no its not even trying

nice one once the rain eases a bit i'll give it a go.

when i fisrt put the dizzy back on it wouldnt go straight in, so I took it out and had a fiddle with it until it went in.

Hi guys, I had to take off my manifold so sort a stud issue out. I took off the air box (standard) distrubutor and the water pipe next to it. Had the head work done, then went to put it back together again. Put the manifold back on, then the water pipe, then the distributor, then replaced the air box with a new induction kit. Happy days, went to start it and it wouldnt go, one minute its trying to start but not quite getting there the next time its just not trying or cuts out. I did not take off any of the distributor leads just unbolted it. Iv adjusted the distributor god knows how many times and still no joy If anybody has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. cheers Adam
