If this one falls through Alex there is a bodyshop up outside turriff that do all of Morrison motors work. They did a mates S3 and astra recently and paintwork and colour match were perfect.

I had a 36mm socket on it.. but it was too shallow to get past the "pin" sticking out of the centre of the nut/pinion shaft. Guess ill just have to find an even deeper one.

Anyone any tips on how to get off the damned nut holding the pinion wheel/ input flange on the diff ?? Cant get an impact socket to fit down onto it properly at all. Is there a special tool for it ??

I might be a spaz here... but if I count the amount of teeth on the crown wheel, and divide it by the amount of teeth on the pinion will this give the ratio ?????????? are certain ratio's specific to certain diff codes ??? I initially purchased this for my 6 speed aristo as with the auto aristo diff at 80mph the car was at about 3000+ RPM so was hoping to get a manual diff to match the box. The one I have is supposed to be a manual one. Casings are the same as the one pictured, but I've not opened it yet.

Don't have that luxury im afraid. Really wish I had access to the vin plate for the car it was removed from now.

I'll grab some more pic later of the teeth and the pinion wheel teeth aswell if that will help. Plus I have another diff to open and if its different I'll need that identified too

Did a little diff swap over with another forum member Need this one Identified to ensure I get the correct seals/LSD for it from Mr Whiffin. Ideally an A--- code would be great. So any help identifying it would be splendid guys. Casing top Casing bottom Differential Guts of differential

L18msy.. I mean the one on this thread was originally started for is the one Ray007 was selling. I have to say it looks a hell of a lot cleaner now than in the pics he sent me! obviously had a wash since then. wonder what it sold for in the end. mooser, fanct sharing that info??
