  1. I think the ADVs come in 20,21 or 22"... Definitely looks very nice but I am only keen on 20" if I do upgrade. There are people who run 18" wheels for track use though.
  2. 26mpg max on a diesel? Even my Q7 manage to get 30mpg lol ... although was hard to achieve that It's a very nice car you will definitely enjoy it! Won't be as nippy as your Sup tho
  3. If you drive it sensibly you will get those figures. I've heard a remap would help even more but I've never tried so can't comment. If you push it hard though the mpg would drop to around 18-20 mpg but the soundtrack on full revs is just amazing! I would say go for few test drives but it seems you've already paid deposit? Lovely car though, very comfy inside and the Quattro's grip is amazing. Enjoy and dont forget pics!
  4. RIP Whitney. So young but the pressure of fame is sometimes overwhelming.
  5. You should've shown the side profile of the ADVs mate http://www.adv1wheels.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/GTR_9Apr2011_11_04.jpg
  6. Not sure about STronic but I used to have an STronic Manual. The MPG is not bad for what it does I think I got around 25mpg around town and 32-35mpg on motorways. Full tank? The tank it pretty small (takes around 70 quid to brim on VPower) so you will get around 300 miles out of a tank from mixed driving maybe a little bit more on motorways. Not sure about LPG conversion though but worth asking 200 miles a week commuting Is that a month or a week?
  7. Have to say compared to the other car forums I frequent (GTROC,IMOC and TT-Forum) this is the most active! I frequent PH too but that's a whole different kettle of fish. It's very active but its so huge you get lost unless you are a super famous or rich poster.
  8. What a waste of a good laptop... However good way to make a point
  9. Ah right, not sure how accurate it was but the needle sweep action on startup won me over
  10. long ago I got same looking boost gauge for my MR2 (although it didn't have the wired thing sticking out from the back). Pretty accurate as it has a stepper motor and looks nice with the "smoked" look while unlit. I can't remember exact price but it was around 20-30 quid from ebay.
  11. Because he knows with the soft laws here all he will get is a small fine and maybe a driving ban for few months.
  12. You can keep your phone constantly charged in the car. Just have to wire a live from the ciggy socket. 12v to mini USB. Then all you need is an Android phone, Tasker and GPS Tracker. Root the Android phone to underclock it so battery will last much longer. You can program Tasker to alert you if the car moves at night via text. Also can program Tasker to start the GPS Tracker when the car is moved at certain time etc etc.
  13. Not really the MSE website is on top
  14. thats a joke app isnt it and only works on iPhone There's a few for Android and my mate did this with a battered HTC. works well and way cheaper than other stuff out there. Just need one of them PAYG card with data.
  15. It does especially near road markings but I guess this could be down to road surface and weather (don't think the speed would have much to do with it). I will reserve further judgement until I can drive in better weather conditions
  16. Nice one Jurgen Missue drives the Q7 as well. Although many slag the Q7 I think it is a pretty comfy and capable family car!
  17. Aye, my "local" HPC recommends only run flats but I can't complain having 2 new rears thrown in with the purchase I will definitely think about normal tyres as the run flats are very hard. Also not sure if this is a run flat characteristic or just me being unfamiliar with car but car seems to tramline a lot.
  18. yeah as a liverpool supporter I am really ashamed of that... not really watching footie much nowadays anyway.
  19. lol. I seriously wonder how anyone can work in a call centre call calling people...
  20. Ah ok. Have a few ridiculous ones but one or two have my correct details (full name, current address...) but I guess it's easy to get those information
  21. hehe lol yeah true! However I need to be a little discreet at work lol don't want to sound too chavvy. However, check this out for noise! (Need to fast forward to 50 secs in) Edit : Embed fail again lol!
  22. Thanks Already VERY tempted by the Litchfield Stage 1 + Gearbox software upgrade lol. I reckon the Y Pipes will make the GTR sound much better just worried about drone...
  23. Yeah true. I actually entertained a cold caller during my lunch time because I was bored. He started off sounding legit and knowledgable but all went downhill when he started asking me for details to fill in. I mean, as a "claims manager" shouldn't he be doing that Sounds like he gets paid £££ just to fill in some forms!
