  1. I'll call him on the way home tonight mate.
  2. As before Pete, very best of luck with the new venture, can't wait to try it.
  3. IMHO decent power with little noise would be a Kevlar Dual Friction, with a new stock flywheel. This will hold 600 bhp & still be slippable. The stock flywheels go bad over time hence me saying a new stock. I love LW flywheels but there is a noise penalty. Nathan, how much power will those new twin plates hold?
  4. The TRD twin plate will be as noisey if not worse.
  5. Chris, you should have gone for the Kevlar Dual Friction mate. It's not the end of the world though. Leon should be able to get a clutch plate made that will work with the RPS pressure plate, so the whole thing is not junk. I have this set up as does Eyefi I believe & it's not too bad. I had an RPS 6 puck before that was noisey. Alternatively, just change back to a stock flywheel. BTW it is a sprung disc isn't it??
  6. You can insert the WB in the exhaust tip as long as it goes in 500mm+ I think leon was modifying a bit of pipe to allow this. This will be the easiest route when available.
  7. Yes I am saying to add a permanent WB o2 in the DP, or at least a fitting to take one. Was your friends set up an NGK or NTK?
  8. You should be OK as I assume the stock one is for Closed Loop Control (CLC). If it were me I would still stick a bosch one in the DP. Just makes it soooo much easier in the future.
  9. No you really need a Wideband sensor put in the DP as well as the stock narrow band. CW was doing Bosch ones cheaply a while back from memory. I think everyone with a tuned MKIV should have this anyway. Maybe even include them in new Downpipes, or at least the fitting/plug. BTW make sure your friends analyser is a good one. I had a Lumention one once & it was crap.
  10. Keith if you have a wideband fitting put in your Down Pipe, ofr a Bosch wideband sensor, you can take the car periodically to Leon, Chris, or probably TDI ( Nathan?) & get them to plug their analyser in.
  11. 500bhp is possible (crank) but not easy. Adam recently made 480 bhp on JPS stage 3's but he has a FMIC. 450 should be easily achievable.
  12. I think you'd be fine with a SMIC & Hybrids, although a FMIC will release more power. It all depends on the kind of BHP you are looking for.
  13. You are putting pressure on the crank when you engage the clutch. This is not normally a problem but you don't really want to sit there with the clutch engaged if you don't have to.
  14. Guys this noise goes away a 1200 rpm. Also it should only do it when the car/box is hot, not from cold. You do not want to sit with your foot on the clutch too much, it's not good for the crank. LW flywheels are excellent IMHO. The noise is a downside but you can overcome it. Chris not sure where the ISCV is on a VVTi. Probably half way down the inlet, cam cover side. Pull the connector & see.
