  1. Take it easy smurph........might actually have my supra by the time you get back. Have a good xmas and new year out there mate. Will be doing it next year!!
  2. Steveo.... your car looks brilliant. I am so jealous lol!! I am on the prowl for a NA aerotop. If you are ever gonna head over to marham or god forbid swaffham give us a shout...so I can have a wee nosey lol! Like I said really nice car chuffed to bits for you. Take it easy mate!!
  3. Like wise mate, I asked some one after it why they talked all the way thriugh it! the reply.........what's it for anyway????!!!! WHAT THE F**K MAN!?!?! Well done to you all for observing the silence and making the sentiment, you are why people like us serve our nation! (Am in the RAF)
  4. Good for you mate!! Always good to see people making an effort to pay respects to the fallen.
  5. yeah I knew he was blind in one eye, but he was closing both. But thanks for agree-ing mate
  6. Key "twat" into her bonnet !!!
  7. HA HA HA, thats what I thought originally!!!
  8. Having taken part in my local town's rememberance parade (I'm in the RAF). I felt proud marching and standing alongside my Navy and Army collegues and veterans. But watching the remberence programmes on BBC on sat evening I could not help but notice Gordon Brown almost FALLING ASLEEP!!! Then at the cenotaph just lazily placing a reath and walking off whereas David Cameron and Nick Clegg (I think, Lib Dem leader) place their reaths and pause for a moment of reflection. What sort of PM do we have, who can't be arsed to pay a bit of respect to the fallen??!! Rant over, I will now step off my soap box lol!!
  9. Mate I would not worry about it...With driving styles like that he'll be picking his GTO and himself out of a field!! I would have done the same and let the nob pass. No shame in being a careful and responsible driver.
  10. I think this guy should have the book thrown at him, as many people before me have said....He signed up for this. I signed up knowing full well there is a possibility of going to somewhere hostile. But you just man up and go. Granted am in the RAF so pretty much I only see Kandahar. But the guys in the army who are on the front line do a sterling job and it's a shame to see this guy weeding out on his fellow army lads!! Rant done lol!!
  11. Actually did djrp work last week!!! whoop whoop!!!
  12. Not as dangerous as us DJRP, TIALD and RAPTOR guys smurph!!!
  13. I watched it a couple of times, thought it was really good. I have massively gotten into The Unit. Over There is worth a look too
  14. RAF Marham, where they regularly hold track days. So the infrasturcture is there. Just need to gauge intrest if such an event were to take place. Good idea mate!!
  15. I'm looking to organise a charity event to raise money for Help for Heroes, British Heart foundation and a Cancer charity of some sort. All ideas are welcome!! I am doing this because my wife and I have lost grandads to heart attacks and cancer. Help for Heros is due to the fact that i'm in the forces and wish to help my fellow service personnel. ALL ideas are welcome and I look forward to your suggestions. Thanks for reading Smiffy
  16. I'm in swaffham mate!! very kind of you to offer, and I might have a look.
  17. Hello to all again... As I am currently navigating thorugh numerous amounts of classifieds trying to eye up which supra to buy (have decided for a NA). I am now facing the choice of solid roof or aero top. The aero top looks awesome but has anyone had any trouble with them? Do they affect the handling at all? Are they easily damaged once removed? They look like a brilliant option for an unseasonably warm day, but then would the solid roof be a better option?....... I invite all opinions because I want my first supra to be perfect! Thanks for taking the time to listen to my ramblings!! Smiffy
  18. Hi all just a quick question for you all from a prospective supra owner. I've heard that imported supras are not undersealed from corrosion etc etc, This being due to the fact that japan has a lower saline environment to our own lovely UK climate. I have been told to check that the car has been undersealed. Is this correct? If so how do I check for undersealing etc??? Thanks for taking the time to read this (probably basic) question!! Smiffy
  19. Looking preferably for a black NA, gonna buy some black alloys, perhaps some OZ racing or RAYS. Not bothered really about bodykit, but if I find one with a decent kit then it's a bit of a billy bonus!! Tony P thats a wee bit out of my price range lol. Thank you all for your welcomes much appreciated!! Martini... I'm in Swaffham.
  20. Hi all.... It's come to that point in my life where I need a car that will blow my mind, until I have sprogs. So I have naturally chosen the supra path. I have always wanted one, and now that the mortgage and salary permit, I can get one. For practicality reasons I have decided to go for a N/A. I'm looking to spend £4k max, a bit tight I know, but I fancy getting my hands dirty on doing some mods. I feel if I go for a TT my penalty points will sky rocket. lol. If anyone has any pointers for a would be supra owner I would be glad to hear them. I am roughly looking to buy around the start of next year. Thanks for taking the time to read this thread and hope to be a fullyfledged mkiv owner in the near future. PS if anyone wants a mini cooper (2003) give us a shout lol. Cheers Smiffy
