  1. To illustarte this is a top secret with front fogs under the indicators but dont know if you can get hold of the foglight housing used?
  2. Lol, thanks for that ...er, I think! I like the side lights in the main cluster, looks better than in the bumper (all down to personal opinion of course)...front fogs in most cars are situated at the bottom of the bumper, exactly where those triangular apertures are. Cant believe, with the amount of modding that goes on with Supra's that no one has done anything like that, certainly cheaper than having to get a BOMEX style bumper if you like Front fogs in a more traditional place. Maybe it's just me! LOL!
  3. Lovely job, thanks again. Good to see theres a few more names on the paid list too, really looking forward to it. Lets hope the weather's good for it too!!
  4. Thanks Mike, thats great to know. Thought emailing the guys direct who would be doing the dyno would be the best way of answering the question tbh, especially as this has come up in previous threads. Didn't know how much you knew them and how good they are. Seeing that Paul came back with it IS an issue is confusing though, you have to admit. Just don't want it to be a wasted trip as well as money, especially as there are other auto's attending.
  5. Forgot to say that I replied to them with my comments about manual mode and no one has got back to me yet. I replied to them on Friday @ 12.00 lunchtime so hopefully get a response tomorrow which I will share.
  6. Guys, I emailed TDI to see what there normal rate is as I'm wanting to take mine irrespective of getting 10 or so. I was a bit concerned at the response I got, not because of the price but what they had to say with regards to auto's, see below... Hello Dyno runs are normally £45+vat We really do have issues with automatic transmission as the cars want to try and kick down and it can cause problems keeping the cars on the dyno. If its not particularly high power we will probably be OK though. Regards Paul West Concerns me that TDI are supposed to be good but have issues with Dyno'ing auto's. If there is any risk then I'm out. I don't know why people have issues with autos as the manual setting is exactly that, it cant kick down if you are physically and manually in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear. Has anyone with an auto had this issue, even when in manual mode? Or do you know any auto owner who has had their car kick down even though they are manually in gear, especially on a Dyno? Thoughts anyone?
  7. I'd be up for it chaps...for a good cause and all, plus not been to a meet in ages so be good to meet up with all of you. Andy
  8. Right, I've changed my nasty yellowing Jap original lamps to some fantastic facelift ones. Set in my blue teal Supra they don't half look impressive as the dark grey surrounds of the lamps really blend in with the colour of my Supra. Thing is I've had the three lights in the cluster wired up as side, main and dip and left the fogs un wired and planned to fit some fogs in my stock bumper but in the cold light of day I can't see how that could work. The only place to fit them without cutting holes in the stock bumper would be in the triangular apertures under the indicators but having bought some and rested them in there to see what they look like, they look pants. Has anyone tried this, or seen if there are any triangular housings that have fog lights in them that would fit a stock bumper or is the only answer to not have fogs fitted at all if I want to keep the side lights in the main cluster or replace the stock bumper with a Bomex style one that has fog light fittings in it? Thoughts anyone?
  9. Damn it! Can't believe I'm removing stone chips from my boner! Spell check FAIL! Lol!
  10. Mines in all this week at a body shop in Sheffield that was recommended to me. If you google body shop Sheffield you can see their website. They are actually called The Body Shop. In order to get rid of the stone chips on the boner and some flaking on one of the wings I'm having bonnet, both wings and bumper re sprayed and the rest of the car machine buffed so will let you know how it goes when I pick her up Friday. The owner 'John' put the colour code into his paint machine - Blue Pearl Teal and showed me the seven or so colours that made it up and also showed me that he had all those colours in his paintshop. That kind of showed me he knew what he was doing but the proof will of course be in the pudding. Like I said I'll post and let you all know at the weekend, it is very difficult to get a good body shop.
