I'm having exactly the same problem at the moment, but mine is blasting out black smoke, revving up to 2k then pretty much back to zero, then jumps back up to 2k again. Really worried it's going to cost me a bomb to fix it.....

Hi guys, I tried doing some research on the fitments of the XXR530 on the Supra, rang a few salemen on XXR 247 Revolution and I'm getting mixed answers. Has anyone fitted these alloys without any issues? I need to get some alloys soon so would be great to hear back from anyone helpful.

Hi Guys, Unfortunately my Supra isn't starting properly, but only sometimes When I turn the ignition key, sometimes it doesn't even fire up or turn over, and when I does the revs go low to immediate high, then low again. Sometimes it will work fine for a whole week, but then the odd occasion it won't fire up for a minute or so, then all of a sudden....it works fine. I'm sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'm as confused as hell to what it could be. Is there anyone that has had this problem before that could help?

Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciate it. I'll have a look at some of the work this guy has done in the past. I really need it done either way, the white is turning a nasty faint cream colour on the rear bumper.

Ok, yea I don't think it would of been a full glass out respray, just an exterior revamp in White. But I completely agree with you that you get what you pay for.

I guys, When I bought my Supra, I new this question will come up for me. The paint work on the car looks a bit tatty, and has bobbles coming up on the rear spoiler and roof. Also I have slight damage on the rear bumper, but other then that the body is really straight. I was quoted £2000 for a full re-spray, do you think that's reasonable? This is the first time I have considered doing something like this, so not sure if that's good or not. I know there are links that will help me out in this site, but just wanted your opinions please. Thanks.

I have to agree that it is a pain having to do up bolts especially being caught in the rain, but it's so worth it when we do have a little sunshine. I have always been drawn to having an aerotop, and the main reason for me has to be the fact that I honestly think they look slightly better. I could be completely wrong, but it's an opinion. I'm not sure how rare they are, I've tried to look into it online and there isn't a lot of info on the figures. Unless someone on here can pull some figures up

Hi Guys, I'm looking to upgrade my alloys as the ones that I have are a bit dated to be honest. Was looking at the Lenso Samurai DR1's. Has anyone fitted them on the Supra? so I can possible see what they look like on the car. I would hate to fork out £1100 and then not like them! Fronts are 18" 8.5j Rears are 18" 10's

I know this sounds silly to some people, but that's one reason why I can't walk away. If everything ads up and paperwork shows it's genuine, then it could be a good thing. Will see how it goes.

Interesting Thread Nic. I'll take it on board and see what I'll do. It's hard to build on a bad reputation, but this could genuinely be a sound Supra. I've got the "What to look out for list" that I've printed off, and will see how it goes!

Thanks for that info, I'm going to take a look, next week and see if it's up to standard. Yes I've read the thread yesterday, very useful and even printed it off for next week!, seriously worried....but excited at the same time. I'm sure to get rid of the Creams if I do purchase, So if anyone's interested, let me know. Definitely getting rid of the alloys, yes they're 17". Thanks for the advice on them.
