First and formost, you buuuugers are totally mad!! with a bit of luck we should all still have a licence by next week. thanks springbok, but I do not think you are getting my drift, if I am at 80 mph in 4 gear with the box in M and have an attack of the red mist, I drop a gear with the wheel buttons and floor the loud pedel 3rd comes in ok but if my foot is too far down, the box drops to 2 and the engine redlines to the revlimiter, so I think the kick down switch, when the box is in M mode should be disengaged to stop this happening,by the way you are right about lifting your foot when changing gear it works a treat! peter black tipronic tt one cat off

hi folks, I know this thread has come up before but it is still bugging me, vvti tiptronic , when in manuel and going for it if I push the loud pedal too hard the kick down engages and the revs go into the red, not a good thing when you are trying to take out a 2cv! , the only thing I can think of to cure the prob is put a swich on the dash to cut out the kickdown when in tiptronic mode is this poss ? and how would I do it?, or maybe someone out there has a cunning plan. peter black vvti tt tipronic

no bags of cement, we found there was no room we have to shovel it in loose, nothing under the car looks amiss all bolts tight,( which is wot I will be if I cannot find wots banging) would a set of blitz springs help?

I think the only way is to stop the thing from kicking down by disableing the kickdown switch black tt tiptronic no mods (yet )

we have same prob also when flooring it I push the pedel past the kick down swich as I find that Icannot feel when the swich is engageing , is there a way to make the kick down swich more positive ?

hi, hope someone can help, we have just bought a tiptronic tt but are haveing a problem with the rear suspention, its ok on a flat road but when driven fast on an undulating road the suspention seems to bottom out also when going over a pot hole there is a loud thud from the rear as tho the suspention is hitting the bumpstop (if a sup has one!)
