  1. Chris, just to clarify regarding the curved grooves, does the grooves need to point inwards or outwards on the front disc? Thanks
  2. Can anybody with the knowledge plz comment on the direction of the grooves? Are the grooves in the right direction? Thanks
  3. I had a feeling that the rears might be the wrong way around but I just followed the stickers on the box. The one that says right one was put on the right side and the one that says left was put on the left side! Guys have a look again. Pic4 (Supra Big brake1.jpg): Front right Pic6 ( Supra big brake4.jpg): Rear right Thanks
  4. Thank you Rob. The new discs are larger than the old ones, so had to remove/replace the dust cover. This did put up a fight as the screws were ceased for the dust cover. Btw my ride is a V8 Soarer, not sure why it is called LIMITED - prob coz it is limited to 120MPH
  5. Also managed to shampoo and polish my alloys at the same time - Dont they look like new
  6. What do you think folks? I am loving my new brakes. Here are some pics ... :yahoo: EBC Yellow Stuff pads New front and rear calipers (from Brakes International - would recommend these guys, very good service and price) Bremtech drilled and grooved fornt discs (from brakes Int.) EDC dimples and grooved rear discs Goodridge brakelines Shim kit, anti rattle kit, caliper pins dust covers all from toyota I painted the calipers red need to put the decals on Let me know what you guys think The first pic is the original brake.
  7. This is exactly the question I am after. Does anyone have an answer to this? I would not suggest driving an RWD car in winter /wet / Cold /snow conditions with out winter tyres. http://www.etyres.co.uk/winter-tyres-law I suppose it is time we all guys have a look at having a set of winter spares atleast between November and April.
  8. After doing quite a bit of research I found that all new cars, race cars, exotic cars, rally cars, supercars etc use alloy radiators. Not sure about heat dissipation and corrosion. I read mixed responses. But due to the sheer extra thickness of the alloy radiators (15-25mm) I suppose they can outperform a stock copper one also alloy ones have less chance of corrosion (I may be wrong!) Coming to leakage of the radiators, the fact that copper cannot be welded and the radiator is full of brass (tubes) and solder (holding the tubes in) which makes an alloy radiator better at least when it comes to welding. Anyway this is all what I gathered but I may be wrong! Aesthetically they look good as well
  9. These are the ones I got from AUS with built in auto trans cooler
  10. Ok guys got my radiator sorted. PWR ones are very good but quite (expensive most of all not required) Bought one from a mate in AUS he managed to get a custom made one for me for £320 including postage, comes with a trans cooler for my auto box - What else can you ask! :yahoo:
  11. Ofcourse I dont work for PWR (if I would I might have got some thing sorted by now). Coming to my case, I never managed to find an alloy radiator for V8 soarer under £450. Almost all the metal radiators are copper cores. There are a couple KOYO aluminium core radiators with plastic tank trans coolers. These plastic tanks seems to be unreliable. Most of the radiator problems come from these plastic tanks either they leak or break. There are lots of alloy radiators for TT Soarers and Supras but nothing for V8 Soarer Auto. The only one I found was PWR AUS. The price for a PWR one is very high, almost £520 ish I was quoted!
  12. Thanks Paul. It seems there is no other option for me (V8 Soarer) other than PWR for a decent alloy radiator. Got a couple of quotes form the aussies but they all come for around £400. PWR Europe quoted me £520 for one.
  13. Do you mind if I ask you for a link to SWR? Google search doesnot return any good matches unfortunately!
  14. Sorry never came across SWR and Fluidyne. Thanks for bringing these up. I know what you guys are thinking but it is my ignorance!
  15. Thats good to know. Toyota Rad is £300 but if I can get a PWR one for £400 I would go for the PWR one. I suppose you guys do the same? It has been a nightmare for me to find an alloy radiator for a V8 soarer. Been on various forums and website right from AUS, NZ, Japan, US, Canada, SG and CN. Lots for the TT Supra and Soarer models but none for a V8
  16. Toyota Rads are copper core and they are not very good for continuous wet weather conditions (like in here unfortunately). Also the plastic trans cooling tank seems to leak and break in some of the cars. I am planning to supercharge my car, so I am looking for a good cooling alternative.
  17. Right Folks, Any chance I can your opinion on PWR radiators? My radiator is corroded and needs an immediate replacement. http://www.soarerworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27291 After doing a good few hours of research found out PWR are currently one of the best in the market. Did any of you purchased cooling systems from PWR? Thanks
