  1. Fitting a UK speedo will negate the converter but will return the speed limiter. If wiggling mended it, just find and fix the dodgy joint.
  2. Checking for any fault codes is the place to start.
  3. All you wanted for Christmas was an N/A distributor, coil and igniter.
  4. I don't know of anyone in your patch, you need input from a local yokel? It's not rocket science, look behind the odo and speedo, or sometimes adjacent to ECU and you'll find an after market gizmo. Some folks are too lazy to solder the joints which leads to problems such as yours. If that's the problem solder them up. If that doesn't fix it, remove the gizmo and rejoin wires as when stock and have a working transmission with a kph readout until you can find a replacement speed converter.
  5. Every N/A-T(er) wants to see these, please post yours up here.
  6. There's a Group for N/A-T too. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?groupid=49
  7. Lots of auto information here, after you have paid your subs. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?groupid=57
  8. Just the mechanism will do the job you want, plug & play.

    xmas

Festive Greetings all round. What happened to the forum blizzard theme this year?
  10. Speed signals are same, it's the ECU, speedometer and tachometer that are different.
  11. Is this what is wrong with your "transmission and/or ECU"?
  12. Look for equipotential bonding fixings.
  13. HID's need 12 volts to function, which dictates that turning on the lights before starting the engine results with the voltage drop at start-up damaging the older and larger magnetic ballast. The later smaller electronic ballast may stand up to more of this abuse.
  14. They're not mine, just found and posted the link, they are pricey, but better value than Supra knee pads.
  15. Ossar or Another might be after a set of these "rare" items? These are the later version made of plastic. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Tte-Wheel-Center-Caps-For-Supra-Celica-Corolla-Gs300-Soarer-Lexus-/111854565780?
  16. Mk IV N/A transmission is an upgrade of that Mk3 3 solenoid and line pressure cable arrangement, this control system fitted to a T.T. transmission gives it the efficient kick-down you miss.
  17. That'll be handy for the toe truck.
  18. That's one whole hour of your two weeks planned.
  19. N/A auto boxes change hands for around £50. T.T. auto boxes change hands for around £200. I think that flappy paddle gizmo is no longer in production? £200? Not much money to be made from making your Supra slower. A V160/1 conversion and uprated clutch could set you back around £6,000.
