  1. I tried a Snap-on spring steel 1/2" breaker bar , but it just wound up like a spring, it was my non bendy one that did the trick, can't remember it's Marque?
  2. Mine required a 3m scaffolding pole on a breaker bar and heat and the weight of 4 men to shift it, breaking 3 x 22mm impact sockets before it cracked like a rifle shot.
  3. Check that the air inlet and engine water temp sensors are in the equation.
  4. Loctite SI 5660 is good stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Loctite-5699-Premium-Silicone-Grey-Gasket-Maker-Sealant-80ml-Metal-Plastic-/191428349901?hash=item2c9204cfcd
  5. Well done for finding your Buzzy Gremlin. If you want a total fix, fit a Lexus shifter linkage, it's same dimensions but with weights on it to prevent vibration. Delboy 52 has one behind his garden shed.
  6. I have yet to see the inside of a Tiptronic box, yet I believe that the only difference between that and a T.T. auto is the valve-body & loom, which means that a Hybrid could be built with a Tiptronic donor. Nevertheless, I can't see the point of reinventing Mr T's work for the sake of it, used with N/A-T or 1UZ builds or T.T. auto to tiptronic upgrade, I would sooner leave the Tiptronic valve-body in and shim-up the actuators for faster-firmer shifts and run it with a piggy-backed VVTI Tiptronic ECU. More info on this Group page. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=195&do=discuss
  7. I have yet to see the inside of a Tiptronic box, but according to the application info in the ad, it's the same strainer as T.T. auto.
  8. Loose heat shield sounds favourite.
  9. There are lots of good reads in the Group, here's a page of links to strainers and things at sensible prices, best I have at the mo for T.T. pan filter is £40, if you find one for less let me know and I'll add the info. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=128&do=discuss
  10. Re-sealing the fluid pan info here. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=176&do=discuss

  12. Sorted with taller profile tyres which give better traction.

Al Jazeera's reporting is far closer to reality, tune your mast in that direction instead of the Buster Bloodvessel Cr@p.

A fine example of further such "National Steerage", this opinion campaign is likely to slide into appealing for personal greed, by blaming the pensioners for the next hike in licence fee.
  15. Put it up for sale for both arms and legs, then reduce the price by a rib a week until someone cracks.

    its coming....

Erm, If it was imported, it can't be a U.K. spec? Bonnet scoop and headlamp washer horns are clues.

The Civil Service wants to stay in and they have control of such news, which by design is leading propaganda for sheep. Spouting "close call", is setting the count up for a "fixing".
  18. I took those brakes off, excuse me, I thought it was the other side that was sticky, I should have remembered better.

  20. Does that suddenly 3-weeks ago, coincide with any tinkering? If not, drop the pan, fit new strainer, clean and test solenoids.
  21. If it makes a special sexy noise, maybe soon there will be Supra owner donor organs for sale?
