  1. That function hasn't worked for me for years, I have to manually enter codes given to me by Mawby for video's to embed.
  2. I like the sound of the Audi/Lamborghini V10, at full chat it sounds like an angry swarm of Emperor Penguins and think harmonised with a Whipple supercharger would be epic. I have searched but it appears yet to be done?
  3. I think you need an "r" in you'e month?
  4. I have a distributor you could have for £20, not breaking it for 2 screws.
  5. Traversing rumble-strips on 30's is like a hammer drill to my spine. Maybe 6 herniated discs have given me superpowers to recognise tyre profile and tread pattern via my coccyx?
  6. That form serves a function.
  7. Addiction to form over function is not a quality of mine.
  8. I have a U.S.A. spec mph speedometer unit & face in mine, it does the same job of removing need for a temperamental converter as using a U.K. spec but it has a prettier face.
  9. Chris may soon pop up and say similar things, yet with the correct technical terminology? I run 285 40's on 18's, which is max width for my 10" Borbet TTE's, they have the correct offset and everything fits perfectly with a minor lip trim. (275 40's fit without trimming) With an N/A 4.083 Torsen diff, this wheel tyre combo gives near as dammit same ratio as 3.769 T.T. auto stock wheel/tyre sizes.
  10. Increasing the width of the tyre does increase the sidewall height, but that is just one element. Suspension travel alters the wheel/road angle and regardless of regained tyre sidewall height and final gear ratio, the "lateral" squidge is proportionally less with a 30 than it is with a 40, which can result with lack of road contact for the outer and/or inner edges by up to 50mm of tyre road contact. Incorrect wheel offset exaggerates this. Lowering more than 10 - 15mm exaggerates this. Incorrect geometry exaggerates this.
  11. Exactly. All roads have bumps and it frequently rains here in the UK.
  12. That's your problem right there, your Supra should feel as refined and comfortable as Baby Bears bed.
  13. The squidge of a tyre is an essential activity for suspension designed to use it, without this squidge the suspension cannot work properly and will crash along like a Fakir's bed increasing the odds of finding a ditch. If you won't believe me, try believing Chris Wilson.
  14. Members with 30 profile tyres on their Supra should be banned and those with 35 profile tyres should be laughed at regularly. Slammed on 30's is cool
  15. With this speedo you don't need a kmph to mph converter.
  16. For an MOT by the book, I don't know how slammed suspension with stretched tyres slips through? "Avoiding MOT Failure Wheels & Tyres Check the side wall of all tyres fro any damage, splits, lumps or bulges. Make sure that there is no seperation of the tread from the tyre and no visible signs of any of the ply or cord. Check that the tyre bead is correctly seated in the wheel rim and the wheel is not distorted or buckled. Check that the valve is correctly seated and is is good working order. Check that each tyre is of the correct size and pressure for the vehicle and that each tyre matches the opposite tyre on each axle. Check the tread depth of each tyre. The legal minimum tread depth is 1.6mm for at least 75% of the tyre. Abnormal wear patterns could indicate worn shock absorbers, innacurate wheel alignment, bad tyre pressures or suspension faults. Tyre condition A failure with respect to tyre wear will result where:- The grooves of the tread pattern are not at least 1.6mm throughout a continuous band comprising: • Central 3/4 of the breadth of tread • Entire outer circumference of the tyre. Tyres must be correctly matched with regard to: • Type • Size • Structure • Location on the vehicle with respect to the axles. Also examined: • General condition of tyre • Condition of valve Tyres fail if they have serious cuts, bulges or other damage. The wear on the tyre is checked with a tyre tread depth gauge to ensure compliance. The tyres are examined to ensure that there is no fouling with any part of the vehicle. Note: The condition of the spare tyre is not part of the MOT."
  17. Pic of GE to GTE tachometer mod, maybe you could ask a local Brownie to do it for you?
  18. Visual crack inspection same as in MOT, data from MOT failures maybe?
  19. Supra's with 30's on 19's have ride quality comparable to a Fakir's bed. 40's on 18's is as low a profile that works properly on a Supra.
  20. The stock cast manifold has a heat shield to prevent such happenings, with the stainless steel jobbies one is not used because it doesn't look trendy. The trendy cure for this is to put the air filter next to it and use induction to extract this hot air into the engine?
  21. Are you allergic to a reclining passenger seat too?
  22. Are you alergic to jump leads?
