  1. I often attempt to help other people out with these quandaries between Saxo urges and Supra realities and have empathy for your sentiment.
  2. Thank you for your reticent acceptance of fact.
  3. Any colour name including "Mother of" is better than one including "Son of".
  4. That is code language for admitting that it does indeed increase tram-lining.

    New OEM parts ?

    If you could, you wouldn't.

    Lexus LC500

    That's a proper fail.
  7. EvinX is one of the few sad enough to be able to answer that.
  8. Edited for you Mike. "It's not that bad." Not only is it a 1 in 5? slope, it's slippery and uneven and to rub it in, it's pink and shiny too, your gay drive only nearly killed us once. Note that nose up your gay drive, your nipples are way from the top. Next time you want to bleed, do it nose down your gay drive, that will get your nipples up.
  9. My redeeming excuse was to lay the blame on Mike's V1 launch ramp drive for upsetting the function of gravity.
  10. Gte polishes cam covers If you find a Gte who does, send him round because mine could do with a polish.
  11. I never did work out if the problem was the ABS, or the design of the calipers, or more likely Mike's drive sloping like a V1 launch ramp, either or, bleeding them was a PITA.
  12. Noz, Why not make some trendy brake master cylinder supports, all the boys would want one.

Nail a Whipple on it and it'd then need the wing.
  14. Mike's took 3 attempts to bleed properly too.
  15. Have you Tried Specsavers?
  16. If you want a vehicle that "pulls the birds", sell your Supra and buy a Hi-Lux.
  17. The one that whistles when you touch the probes together. (Continuity)
  18. I fitted Delboy's Bimbo's, these front calipers need a minor trim to fit behind 19's" and a major (12mm?) haircut to fit behind 18's", Mike's are 18's". Note that no two design of wheel will have the same diameter clearance at the back and this dimension will be different from the inside to outside edge. The calipers needed more taking off one side than the other and after testing for heat expansion clearance and with a final fettle in one spot, they clear the wheel evenly by about the thickness of a good coat of paint. He has done a few hundred miles with them and they're still not bedded in properly yet, but these things will pull your eyes out. That is, as long as you have remembered that brakes can only be as efficient as the tyres and suspension will allow, using premium tyres, not slammed or running on 19"s and/or have stretched or silly 30 profile tyres/ski's. Whilst mapping his Suprastick and confirming (test piloting ) that everything else that had been done to it during the past 4-years were at long last all working properly enough too, I must have done a consecutive dozen 120 to 40 to 120 to 40 etc and they were just warming up. I found the brake pedal to have a light and positive feel and even though used enthusiastically many times, not once did the ABS need to twitch at me. There's no fear of cooking these Beasties. The first caliper was a PITA, without a template to work from it took umpteen test fits to fit Birds eye view of modified caliper next to original Worms eye view of modified caliper next to original, note the taper to match form of wheel Bottom of modified caliper shown in front of original Top of modified caliper shown in front of original With the modified caliper to use as a template, the other side took a quarter of the time Whilst I have a fag break to clear the aluminium dust from my lungs, Mike pacifies his nail varnish brush fetish On-side was first done Another fag and fetish break They certainly tick the trendy box Final fag and fetish on the off-side They are cosy in there They clear the wheel evenly by about the thickness of a good coat of paint
  19. For future reference, I have edited the above pic into the N/A How-To.
  20. One pot per full flush is enough of that stuff, better idea to add 1/4 pot per 2 litre partial fluid change.
  21. Don't forget the paint and go faster stickers.
  22. You have recently changed the diff oil. Just check the level when you service engine and transmission fluids, or every now and then whilst you are under there kissing the drop links? 75/90W is what they like.
  23. Top Tip for undoing a f tight bottom screw: Remove the throttle body so that you can get at it properly and start the screw moving using a small pair of mole grips. Edit: I had posted a How-To for TPS adjustment, but it appears that the thread I linked the photographs from has been deleted and mucked this resource up. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=190&do=discuss
  24. Fitting new anti-roll bar bushes front and rear with a greasing, would be kind maintenance and possibly even an improvement. You could inspect the drop links, check the diff oil level and give it a kiss whilst you're under there. If you're running less than 40 profile tyres it can only and will hit hard over bumps.
