The Easiest Way To Do a Full Flush Drain sump (2 litres), refit plug, pour 6.5 litres (N/A total volume 7.2 litres or T.T. total volume 8.2 litres) of new fluid in via funnel in dipstick tube, remove a hose from the ATF cooler circuit, hold over bucket, have an assistant start the engine, run until clean new fluid shows, turn off engine, reconnect hose, give dipstick tube time to drain, restart engine and top up transmission to dipstick mark. (If you put more than 6.5 litres in, it will overflow from the top breather.) Tip: Undo radiator union in flow line. Tip: It's a lot tidier to have the fluid coming out the end of a flexible hose, than out of a fixed pipe or union. Tip: Mark a 5 litre for N/A or 6 litre for T.T. level onto your bucket, so you know thereabouts when to expect the clean stuff to arrive.

Mocal Oil Thermostat installation (Performed free of charge by "a disabled person who doesn't have public liability insurance".) (pic Delboy52 ) (Note: These hard lines look different because they are different.) Pictured; flow-line from Supra 2JZA80-GTE A340E & return-line from Soarer 1UZ-FE A341E in Supra with 1UZ-FE VVT-i & A340E-GTE/GE Hybrid Transmission. (Yes, the ends of these hard lines do need more support) Delboy52 Before up to temp; ATF circulation is via the temperature regulator in radiator only, as OE. (pic & edit Delboy52 )

Lucas SS
David P replied to David P's topic in A340E-GTE/GE Hybrid Transmission's A340E-GTE/GE Hybrid Transmission Topics
Lucas Stop Slip http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LUCAS-TRANSMISSION-GEARBOX-FIX-STOPS-SLIP-710ml-CLEANS-LUBRICATES-STOPS-LEAKS-/231086533452?pt=UK_Vehicle_Oils_Lubricants_Fluids&hash=item35cdd4ab4c Youtube clip re. Lucas SS. (Tip: Mix with ATF to dilute before pouring this thick stuff into a thin hole.) -
Lucas SS is an ATF additive that claims to lubricate sticking valves, stop bands slipping and stop most oil leaks, which can only be good things for a 20-years old transmission. However, my interest in this stuff is because it raises the viscosity of ATF, which in turn raises the oil pressure which in turn clamps the clutches together stronger. Think of it as Wynns or STP for transmissions. This stuff is highly viscous and best diluted with ATF which makes it easier to pour in. However, should you prefer to spend an hour dribbling it down the spout, do it with the engine running, which will dilute this thick stuff and prevent a neat 'slug' of it getting sucked into small fluid passages. I highly recommend using this in Supra automatic transmissions.

Alternatively, for less than a quarter of Mr T's price you can upgrade an N/A sub-frame with this aftermarket bush. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POLYURETHANE-Rear-diff-mount-rear-bush-TOYOTA-Supra-93-02-/172497898857?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 With a squidge of Fairy Liquid and a pry-bar, this will slip in like a good Saturday night. Tip: Fit centre piece AFTER bush is installed. It doesn't come with the (10MT 1.5?) Allen bolt needed to mount it, (part no. T90110-14007) but it's only a couple of quid.
