XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Aisin AW - alternative & multi-purposed plate-codes - add to the mystery For I.D. Mr T originally used yet another set of code numbers on a "fade or fall-off" bar-code sticker & omitted to mention the Aisin AW numbers in his Bible(s)? Mr T now uses vehicle registration numbers and computer magic. Tip: Despite many matching numbers - you need to confirm it has matching flange & socket

How-To Re-Seal Sump here. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=176&do=discuss If an N/A transmission solenoid has died, you can get a new design "compact" set for sensible money here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A340-AW4-TRANSMISSION-SOLENOID-KIT-3PC-Shift-TCC-A340E-A340F-99109-/191627748841?hash=item2c9de765e9:g:7vgAAOSwyDxXguIS Tip: Pre-Facelift and Facelift N/A transmissions have a different internal loom, the solenoid connectors are not same.

T.T. valve-body with strainer (Gear-change and lock-up solenoids are the group of 3 smaller ones at the rear of the valve body, one is hiding underneath) T.T. valve-body without strainer (Gear-change and lock-up solenoids are the group of 3 smaller ones at the rear of the valve body, one is hiding underneath) Un-clip loom, (be gentle - the plastic may be brittle) remove the 10mm bolt on strap and pull solenoid out of valve-body. To check that it functions; hold terminal pin to body across a 12v battery and see if it clunks, if it does it's working. If dead replace, if good, clean with aerosol brake cleaner & refit, remember to inspect o-ring and please use a torque wrench at 7ftlb. Check all 10mm head bolts on valve-body are @ 7ftlb whilst you are in there. (They grow loose over time)
