  2. The Aisin AW plates are now decoded enough to identify Supra transmissions. For the records, I'll continue to compile the remaining transmission pics & plate-codes, if you have access to either, please don't be shy. Thank you.
  3. When reporting complete plate codes, please include both printed and stamped numbers, or better still, send me a pic. Thank you. (pic Supra 2JZA80-GE plate Shane )
  4. Sample code: 30-40LE 35000 1B240 95E R 00095 30 = Transmission model 4 = Number of forward gears 0 = Model number L = Lock-up torque-converter E = Electronic (S = Tiptronic) 35000 = Transmission series 1B = Supra JZA80 240 = GE (310 = GTE) (360 = GTE VVT-i) 95 = Last 2 digits of Manufacturing year E = May - Month (A to M, “I” not used) R = A340E or A340F (F = Transfer-case) 00095 = 5-digit serial number

  6. Using what I could find in a remarkably poor Toyota Service Bulletin and with the little there is on Wikipedea, along with deductions made from plates collected, the code is below unravelled! Toyota PDF. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=219234&d=1496307878 Wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_A_transmission
  7. After more than one complete sample sets of code numbers have been collated it will be possible to identify a transmission with them? The secrets are hidden in this group of the code? 30-40LE 35000 1B240 95E R 00095 Until then, I have explained how to see them in the Real World, without the need for spectacles. Should I have made any error, or should you have a missing complete plate-code to donate, please contact me and I will edit. Should you have further information to add, please feel free to do so. Thank you
  8. If you have one of these please send me a link by p.m. and I'll post it with the embed codes?
  9. Here's a clip of Sidewaysdan's Hybrid launching 500ftlb? This is Hybrid number 4, built 5-6 years ago in the days before I used to shim the accumulators. Note that the changes are not as fast as the later shimmed boxes, but it doesn't hang about. Thank you for the clip Dan. (Please note: Increased-rpm gear-changes) (Please also note: No valve-bounce @ 7,100rpm with OE N/A cams & valve-springs) (Please also note: N/A inlet cam is lairier than T.T. version) http://youtu.be/XCgPF2BDHFwfeature=youtu.be Gear-Change Rev-Limit Mod & User Register here. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=229&do=discuss
  10. If/when this conversion has/is documented in a thread? Please send me a link and I'll post it here for further reference.
