  1. Is there any cutting and re-routing, or is it just tag on to passing wires?
  2. Thank's for that, pleased I didn't have the matrix out looking for something that's not there:) Could you please tell me the rules for this new 'ball game'?
  3. I have traced the wire from the stop light switch, that should go to the cruise ECU connector block, and it disappears with a bundle more over the top of the heater matrix, I would suspect that is where it could be found, yet not enough time today to strip it out that far in, that will have to wait for Easter. Ian, any chance of comfirmation from the man that has done this retro fit? Stefan, did you find it behind the matrix you have taken out?
  4. Rob, Before you part with your loom, if it has cruise control wiring you could be of great help and tell me where the green cruise ECU connector block is? Or send me some good both sides photo's of it spread out? Thank you
  5. Ahaaa Here is a man that drives the answer to where the green ECU connector block could be hiding. Any chance of you undoing two 10mm bolts and taking a look up behind the clock from underneath to see which direction the wires run from, and/or where it legs into the loom please? Is yours auto or manual?
  6. I will work that one out after I have found where Mr T. has hidden this green ECU connector block My glass is half full
  7. Hello you 'Old Dog', If you find it, send me a text, because (weather permitting) I will be under the dash, not next to the computer. I am hoping to find it behind the fuse box, but if not, it would be a great help if you find it elsewhere, there are a a lot of wires both wrapped, plastic shielded and mounted behind akward and sharp components. Cheers
  8. The purpose of this thread is to try and find the last piece of the 'how to retro fit cruise' puzzle, both for my benefit, and others that have tried and failed. As yet, there has been little positive response, but along the way, I have answered the questions of others. These honest answers have lead to persons changing the subject and throwing toys out of their pram, and it is interpreted that it is me who is not being fair. Strange old place sometimes, this Supra World.
  9. 's I am looking for a green connector block under the dashbord. I don't give a toss if someones don't believe me, I find it quite amusing. Look's like sundays Antipodean potholing is my best bet then?
  10. The throttle cable, ramp and butterfly are working perfectly. The engine is just very responsive to the smallest of throttle movent. It is perfectly well behaved around town and spirited 'B' road driving. It is the dual cariageway and motorway trundles, it is 'wearing' to require such fine throttle control to maintain a steady speed. That's why I am fitting cruise. You wouldn't happen to know where I can find............ 'The Lost Holy Green Supra Cruise Control Connector Block'? P.S. No I am not exagerating.
  11. That's a good question, I will try it in nuetral and see what revs it goes to. For max accelleration I use full throttle openings, but light throttle openings just keep on puuuulling, I am amazed it gets the air to do this. I need cruise.
  12. It was a 'genuine' answer too. On sunday I plan to have the kick panel fuse box out, it's a pig of a job. I seem to remember there being a spare connector block around there when I refitted it after 'extracting' the Avon Lady ding-donger. I hope this Antipodian Supra potholing exploration, will be the final chapter in the great mystery of............... 'The Lost Holy Green Supra Cruise Control Connector Block'. :D
  13. Hello, it's been 'busy' here in my absence I can assure you that all the components are fitted as described. And my statements of throttle position/speeds are correct, give or take 0.2 or 0.3mm. The present spec is shown in link below. I am a club member hoping to learn from the experience of another member, namely, where a connector block might be hiding in the loom. If anyone has a positive input to make re. this topic I would be pleased for you to post it. Pic of throttle body with 2 ramps.
  14. About time you stopped living in your nutshell then. Please refrain from intimating I am a liar.
  15. Not kidding, that's exactly the way it is. Ultimately, I will re-design the throttle ramp to give less butterfly movement at light throttle, but cruise will 'patch' this for now.
  16. Since modifying the engine, cruising at 100mph is now only around 1mm of pedal depression and cruising at 70mph is around 0.5mm. With such a fine tolerance, it has become difficult to regulate cruising speed. That's why I need cruise control.
  17. I am 'in the same boat', yet because the other parts of the loom are there, the green block must be there somewhere. I have had a good look at the manual, and the connector block is on the end of a long length of loom, all on it's own, so it will be tied back and taped into the loom somewhere, but could be up to a metre away from the ECU mounting point. If someone is breaking a Supra with loom, without cruise, it will be a lot easier to find. A few months ago, whilst standing on my head under the dash removing the dreaded ding dong, I seem to vaguely remember there being a spare green block behind the kick panel fuse box, if no-one has the answer, I will have that out at the weekend and take a look.
  18. I am retro fitting cruise control. My Supra has the throttle ramp for the extra cable, under bonnet connector for cruise motor and loom in the steering column for the control stalk, but I can't find the connector block for the ECU? I have stripped the dash completely, it will be taped back into the loom somewhere, but dammed if I can find it. Before the car gets reduced to a bare shell, can someone please tell me where it is hiding?
  19. Check the part numbers on here. http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/
  20. Anybody taking out an N/A auto trans?
  21. All the answers are here. http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html
  22. My Supra doesn't have ABS, but to retrofit, would require to change both rear hubs, both rear driveshafts, a similar change upfront, (unknown) and lots of wires and sensors and ECU's (unknown) and electronics (unknown). The plumbing would be the easy bit. I will do you a favour and give you a tenner for the lot, and expect it to be delivered for that price too.
