Gave it a light going over with fine wet and dry, a coat of plastic primer and a few? coats of satin black bought from Halfrauds. I chose the satin finish as it has a light sheen that can be easily cleaned. If you use a matt finish, I think you may find it will always have shiny fingerprints on it. There is a how to do it thread on here somewhere.

Painted in satin black looks good. Did this to mine and tarted it up with leather gaiters on console lid and handbrake. Found these on ebay, good quality too. There is a pic of it in link below.

Which 4Runner V6 distributer cap is used for NAT. There are 2 different part numbers for this item, which is the one? 19101-65010 or 19101-65040

Chris, Thank's for the input. I didn't realise there was a diagnostic mode, better get stuck back into the manual. I didn't change the instrument loom, and there were 4 wires more than in mine, assumed the were for slip control, ABS and/or airbags? Yet the instrument loom only draws info for display. Because both systems are not functioning, it points towards not receiving info from speed sensor. When first tested after fitting the TT dash loom, I found that the wiper harness was wired to the left kick panel, and not the right as the previous loom. Maybe there are other differences that I need to trace?

Went with the 4300K, maximum light output and closest to daylight. Really pleased to be able to see where I am going.

Cruise control and active spoiler retrofit into N/A auto. I have changed the dash loom for a TT model wired for active spoiler and cruise. The column loom has been changed for a loom including cruise. The engine loom included these functions and is unchanged. Fitted the active spoiler, switch and ECU, cruise actuator, control stalk and ECU. The spoiler 'down' function operates correctly, yet does not operate in 'auto' whilst car cruising. The cruise ECU clicks when turned on, but the dash light does not come on, and cruise does not function. Before I begin running through circuits, switches and ECU checks, I suspect that the main ECU may not include these functions. Does anyone know if there are versions of engine/gearbox ECU, with and without these functions?

I've just fitted some of the ebay from China, £30 a pair HID's into my glass headlamps. Main 4300k, dip 4300k, fog 3000k and Angel Eyes 4300k. 'Plug and play', and they work a treat. I think HID must stand for; Hello It's Daylight

I find the standard cloth Supra seats more comfy, but the leathers better looking. Drove to Russia and back with a detour to central France on the way home last year with the cloth seats, slept on them a few times too. 4,000 miles and not a peep from my dodgy back. Maybe do the same again this year on the leathers, but not confident my back will be happy about it.
