  1. I have fitted OEM skirts and spats, and think the front would look better with the plastic lip and spoiler colour coded. The active spoiler is a retrofit, and the plastic lip above it is the original. There is a piece of the rubber seal each side that shows between the two. Not a prob when black, but not good to paint. Is this the way they all are, or is the lip on Supra's with active spoilers slightly different and a better fit?

    Andy, Here are the pics of the column loom I promised. Hope you can see what you need to.
  3. Here's an amazing set of clip's, i've come across. Excuse me, I don't know how to embed it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz9MTFYDgl0&NR=1&feature=fvwp
  4. I am almost an 'old fart', that's probably why I drive a Supra. A pint of real ale and a sunday roast down at the pub for me.
  5. If setting the TPS to the spec I posted yesterday does not fix it, run these checks to see if the sensor is functioning correctly.
  6. That's definitely the TPS for a manual, it looks as though it has been 'dicked' with though. Have you tried setting it to the correct position? I would think M/T is for Manual Transmission.
  7. Bugger ! I was going to buy the pair for £2,900,000.00 and sell the left one for £2,000,000.00. Then it would have only cost me £900,000.00 for the right one.
  8. Jackpot As long as he doesn't expect £3,000,000.00 for it. Cheers
  9. Mmmm, That must mean that my left knee pad is worth around £2,000,000.00 then.
  10. I was wrong about the TPS settings being different for manual and auto, but correct re. different TPS part no. For a J spec N/A, both auto and manual settings are;
  11. Because there is a clutch master cylinder, but the manifold Y branch you have is for an auto, the manuals have a 'dogs leg' in the pipe as it leaves the manifold on route to the rocker breather, the auto's have a straight pipe, like the one you have. Check the number on the TPS, and the setting, will look it up in the manual for you.
  12. From the configuration of the components, it looks as if you could have an auto that has had a manual conversion, if so, the throttle position sensors are a different part number and give different voltages at different throttle positions. The position they are set to is different too. The part no. for the TPS for a manual is 59452-35010. If that is the case, which ECU do you have?
  13. Yes that's the MAP sensor, and yes that is the OEM rocker breather that should be piped up to the Y branch.
  14. Keep an eye on this thread too. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=223136
  15. U.S. spec N/A's have MAF, and J spec N/A's have MAP. If the cam position sensor in the distributer was the culprit, the rev counter would be more eratic. If yours has MAP, the sensor is fitted to the bulkhead just above the 'knuckle' of the inlet manifold, check the vacuum pipe that connects this to the inlet manifold for cracking and that the electrical connector is good. P.S. You can get to all the vacuum pipes without stripping off the manifold.
  16. Thank's for that snippet, I will continue to wait untill I find one before taking off my door card to paint the switch panel. Because you know how they fit, any chance you have one gathering dust? Here's pic's of a left knee pad I have found, these just stick on.
  17. I have. It turns out that they had only pressure tested 1 of the 5 hoses. After installation, the engine had been ticking over for 30 mins or so to get up to oil stat open temp, then revved to 80 psi hot with no problem, so it had been given a thorough checking over. Then after 6 miles or so of gentle driving it blew off at 60psi, at a joint where there is no flexing of the hose. Well at least the n/s suspension got a good soaking in oil, that should help the bolts come out when I change the wishbones.
  18. Apparently, it had been swaged, but it turns out that the 'monkey' had used the wrong collar for the job on the offending joint. If you look closely at the pics it can be seen that the collar is different from the other that worked O.K.
