  1. Doing it now, lots about it in my garage.
  2. Yes please Gav, I need to see how the gasket matches to the inlet ports, I can then work my manifold to a gasket. Thank you
  3. Neil, To have a head to work to would be best, but the logistics would be a complication. Thank you for your offer, and will take you up on it if a pic does not turn up.
  4. I am cleaning up an inlet manifold for my N/A but do not have a spare head to refer to for port matching. Does someone please have a pic of N/A head inlet ports with the gasket in place. Thank you
  5. I'm working towards having my cake and eating it too. Supra, bhp and mpg.
  6. I have tried both, but this system is quieter around town and when cruising, sounds better at WOT and the engine performs better too. But mine is an N/A.
  7. There are 2 sizes, mine is the larger @ 115mm, the smaller size is 90mm. http://www.apexi-usa.com/products/?id=5327 "The ATS was developed as a high performance evolution to the standard tail pipe silencers available in the market today. While many people enjoy the power gains of a racing exhaust on the track, often times these systems require a silencer to be installed in the tip for use on the street. While sound output can be dramatically lowered using a non-adjustable silencer, unfortunately response and power tend to suffer due to increased exhaust gas restriction. The ATS (Active Tail Silencer) uses the same active valve technology as the PS Revolution exhaust system. The spring loaded valve is engaged and disengaged based upon exhaust gas pressure. This allows for effective sound suppression for the street, without the power loss under high load. Dyno tests have proven power levels to be nearly identical to an exhaust using no silencer at all. * Please note that, due to the tapered tip of the N1 Evolution exhaust system the ATS Silencer WILL NOT fit properly. This is only true for the N1 EVOLUTION mufflers, all other"
  8. Revving whilst stationary does not open it. On the move when under load it opens. (Yes full de-cat and Autobahn88 manifold, pics in my garage and album)
  9. Mine is on an N/A, and definitely improves bottom end torque without any top end loss, in fact it feels quicker with it. 7dB makes a BIG difference to the noise, and it removes the low drone too. No worries with EGT at tickover. When you open up the engine, the valve opens up and lets the noise out, but nice and quiet around town and at cruise, you might even like it.
  10. I have one, it does exactly what it say's on the tin.
  11. Just ask, and they generally will.
  12. Second-hand goods are tax exempt, but which 'tax' I am not sure, someone on here will know. The answer is here, but the page is not responding. http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=1100012085&sta
  13. As far as I am aware, there is no tax on used parts. Consolidated shipping would not be expensive either.
  14. If anyone is searching for a T.T. engine or 6 speed Getrag, or both. Spotted on ebay U.S. T.T. engine & auto trans £1,150 (Classified) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-TOYOTA-2JZGTTE-ENGINE-2JZGTE-SUPRA-MOTOR-2JZ-1JZ-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem255d646d16QQitemZ160480652566QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories T.T. engine and 6 speed Getrag £3,325 (Or best offer) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-Toyota-Supra-2JZGTTE-Engine-6-Speed-Trans-JZA80-2JZ-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3cb0c7a504QQitemZ260663911684QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories T.T engine and auto trans £1215 (Auction) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-TOYOTA-2JZGTTE-ENGINE-2JZGTE-SUPRA-MOTOR-2JZ-1JZ-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27b514df95QQitemZ170541768597QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  15. Suprastick can only cope with 3 solenoilds. If that's the way you want to go, you will have to beef up an A340E
  16. Thank's for the compliment, the project is coming along. I have 'manualised' the A340E trans with a Suprastick V4.6 ECU. There's lots about it in 'my garage'.
  17. Using a T.T. hose from pump to res, it's a straight swop.
  18. Found in a members garage. "Your cylinder blades need sharpening mate, and look, the clippings basket is catching on the auxillary belt".
  19. Titan Motorsports are now making a range of cams for the VVTI.
  20. Sounds like you could need new seals in the brake master cylinder. Are you loosing any brake fluid?
  21. Ask here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=214650
  22. How many shift solenoids are there in a Soarer V8 auto box? The Suprastick can control 2 shift and 1 lock up solenoid.
  23. Thank's for the compliments. At this time the transmission internals are standard, they should stand up to the engine's power, but just in case there is more than I bargained for, I have a set of oil pressure upgrade sleeves, and/or I could use T.T. A343E components to upgrade the A340E to T.T. + torque capabillity. I need to keep the A340E box to run the SSV4.6 (Manualiser/Flappy Paddle) and use the splined Driftmotion one piece alloy prop. Info on box hybridisation in link below. http://www.supras.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=52 For installation info re. the Suprastick, click on the thumbnail in my garage for a full size pic with info below it, and also, the active SSV4 link will take you to the Latent Solutions site. Take a browse around, there's loads of info in there. Just a few odds and sods left to do to the engine, water/meth injection and HHO generator. (all details in garage) It will then go on the rollers and we shall know.
  24. You can use a Suprastick to manualise (Flappy Paddle) an A340E auto box, but not the A343E. Info in my garage link below. What engine are you running? If you have more power than an A340E N/A box can handle, you can upgrade it by increasing the oil pressure and/or hybridise with A343E T.T. box components.
