  1. Any time Your exhaust manifold looks a good un. I began with a parallel induction pipe too, yet found that a plenum gives more power. Hope to meet at a meet sometime and give you a drag race, before I get around to 'nailing on' the supercharger.
  2. I have looked into the charcoal canister removal mod, and it appears that no one has thought the job through properly! Much of this information can be found by scrolling down to DI 75 in the Workshop Manual PDF in link. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/search.php?searchid=5339033 The Supra fuel tank and pump are designed to operate at a positive pressure of 2psi. The fuel filler cap, is a 2psi relief valve, maintaining pressure on charcoal filter up to 2psi and gently venting excess. Without the pressure drain gurgling through the charcoal filter, the cap has a little more relieving to do. 3 pipes on charcoal canister, listed below with direction of flow. 1 goes to induction vacuum. 1 comes from fuel tank. 1 goes to drain. Remove vacuum pipe from inlet manifold and cap it off. Pipe to fuel tank can be capped, or removed completely and blanked off on tank. Drainpipe can be left open, or removed completely. Simples ! A tidier job and minor weight reduction is made by removing pipes and blanking at source. (An even simpler explanation is; remove it and blank off the pipes.) ANY other plumbing arrangement is a Supra Old Wives Tale and WILL cause 'issues'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ # # Supra Old Wives Tale :baa: # :tumble:================== :tumble:============= ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BUSTED
  3. Looking good. Interested to see the results. Maybe a good idea to feed the induction cold air too. There are pics in 'my garage' how to.
  4. Green Stig's heel-and-toe, is maybe more of a foot-and-mouth technique in those flip-flops he's wearing.
  5. What garage, A.B.S. or T.C? Mine is my daily driver, at least I have the Torsen in ready for this winter. It gets a regular jetwash underneath, and plenty of WD40 on the wheels and polished alloy parts, in fact most of the car is kept bathed in the stuff.
  6. Like I said Barney, just fishing at the mo. Here's my 'hit list', pics of the parts are posted in the S.C. section of 'my garage' as they turn up. Jaguar XKR Eaton M112 - found Jaguar X300 charge cooler pre rad - found. N/A engine - found. N/A A340E trans - found. T.T. A343E trans - found. T.T. flex plate - found. U.K. spec fuel pump - found. T.T. flex plate bolts - searching. T.T. auto bell housing - searching. T.T. torque converter - searching. High impedance top feed 550cc injectors - searching. Oil catch tank - searching. Water swirl pot - searching. Electric water pump - searching. Charge cooler core - searching. Bonnet with a big bulge in it! - searching Looking into alloy cores to build a charge cooler that may even fit under a stock bonnet if I mod the rocker covers. Also looking into leaving injectors stock, and fitting extra's before the S.C. which would help cool the charge. It's early days yet.
  7. Aaaaaah I see ! You haven't got the whirlygoround. Yes, you definitely need that to connect the column loom to the wheel. Then it's 'plug and play'.
  8. Dave, What r yer dikin bout at ? It's one wire to earth. Pic shows the wire, where it comes from and goes to. If that doesn't work, just check the fuse. Simples Failing that, I will take it off your hands for a fiver.
  9. No rush whatsoever, at the mo just fishing. Will be pleased to see your pics whenever. Thank you.

    It's stationary!

  11. Dnk, No hassle from the boys in blue. The letters are larger than required, I don't know why, that's just the way it came? When the car is painted I will get another made with slightly smaller letters and leave a border.
  12. Neil, I filled the holes with 2 pack plastic repair filler and carefully sanded it down so hidden behind the plate. Dnk, I removed the excess around the edges, because the gentle curve across the front causes wrinkles if the plate is any larger. The letters are 80mm tall, so to leave a border would need smaller. Maybe next time.
  13. Neil, Thought you had visited 'my garage'?

  15. O.K. Thank's, but bought another last night. Cheers
  16. Looking for a set of 550 top feed high impedence injectors? David
  17. Dave, I have a non airbag 3 spoker that doesn't need blue pills?
  18. What spec and price are the Denso fuel pumps?
  19. Copied from the 'stickie' at the top of the page re. MOT. "One useful piece of advice which is probably the biggest is for you NA guys... So far, going by the emissions database, there is NO such thing as a NA supra. The database only lists a 2JZ-GTE engine, (for the mkiv) so all of you that are worried about having no cats fitted then don't! Yes you will fail the initial 'BETS' test but it follows into a full CAT test, in which a 2JZ-GE does NOT exist, as it wasn't a UK car, so this puts it into the category of being a 'non-listed' car, as such the 'default' limits are standing idle of 3.5% CO and 1200ppm HC. I have passed a certain members car, using these limits (no names given) and it is FAR from standard and it passes every time. As well as there is no rule stating you MUST have a cat fitted. If you can get your CO% to below 0.2/0.3% at 2.500-3000 rpm and HC to below 200ppm your fine! I also know of a new 'rule' that is out regarding exhaust noise, in which 'anything that is louder/noiser than what is regarded as a standard noise level' is now classed as a fail. Which to be honest is most of us!" Interested to know what power gain you achieve.

    Bulging

Nic, Thank's again Barney has mentioned the Chargespeed bonnet, both this and the Varis have a bulge without a bulge in it, and would need further work to lift the centre for charge cooler clearance. Beginning to look like I will need to modify one myself. Could someone photoshop a bonnet with a wider OE scoop please?
