  1. Two days of riding the 10" x 2" mop on the 1 hp 3 phase bench grinder, I say 'riding' because it's a beast, given the least excuse it will snatch whatever I am polishing from my hands, taking a chunk of flesh in the bargain and fling it across the workshop like a wild trebuchet! Black bogeys were bad enough, but even though I am togged up like a germ warfare technician, I now get black wooly belly button fluff too. Yesterday, one of these belly button bogeys floated up in the bath, it looked like a well used piece of Duraglit, which I suppose is what it really is anyway. The back wall of Bobs workshop is hanging with cotton fibres, it looks like a curtain of black candy floss! Just the supercharger remains to be polished, but haven't yet found suitable conditioning discs to remove the rough cast surface.
  2. A terrifying natural disaster, I hope the loss of lives is no greater than reported and doesn't include members family. I wonder how many Supra's died? Maybe there will soon be a glut of drowned T.T.6 components.
  3. Ask your local Toyota dealer, no button pressing required.

  5. Until I have everything nailed under the bonnet and proven reliable, I am more interested in getting it going with clear access to all of it rather than hiding it. That might get done once I have nothing better to do.
  6. The charcoal cannister removes petrol fumes from relieved tank pressure and magically turns them into water which drips out of the drain pipe, yet maintains the tank pressure at 2psi. With or without the charcoal filter the fuel cap relieves tank pressure at 2psi, it just gets a little more relieving to do without the charcoal cannister letting some through. Mine's a pint of real ale please.
  7. It's not rocket science, the information is in the Workshop Manual. As I have explained and you have ignored twice before, the fuel tank and pump are designed to work at +2psi and the fuel cap is a 2psi pressure relief valve. Leaving the tank to charcoal filter breather pipe open ended, leaves the tank and pump without pressure, and smelly/flammable petrol fumes wafting around. Prove me wrong and I will buy you a pint.
  8. Thank you for the offer, however, I have just bought a load of this stuff. Wish I had known last week.
  9. Blimey, the club sceptic is "impressed", there's hope yet. Cheers Martin
  10. You have implied that you have disregarded this information and intend to carry on regardless. It means exactly what it says. The link takes you to the back end of a thread that exposes issues that others have experienced from leaving this pipe open and the reasons why this is the correct way to do it. It's easier too.
  11. The bits and pieces are arriving in dribs and drabs, except the 10" x 2" mop which is the item I want to play with next. Incredibly, Fedex delivered the Aquamist nozzles from Howerton Engineering, California, U.S. in less than 24hrs of ordering, exceptional when compared to the 7 to 9 days for delivery of items posted first class recorded from within the U.K.
  12. This one was a little egret, it brightened up my day.
  13. Not Supra owners with post adrenaline twitch, I refer to bird watchers of the feathered variety. This afternoon during a couple of hours chub fishing, a White Egret landed right next to me and was quite happy with his fishing until I tried to take his photograph, the start up bleep sent him packing. Seen plenty of these on the Continent, yet this is the first one I have seen here in U.K.
  14. You just can't help some folks.
  15. Sounds like electrickery, but you're getting good at that now.
  16. DO NOT vent the pipe out of the back. The Supra tank and fuel pump are designed to work with 2psi, the fuel cap is also a pressure relief valve. Just do what is say's in the link, Charcoal canister removal any other old wives tale plumbing system WILL cause issues.
  17. If it's the breather pipe, then remove it completely and blank it off at the tank end. Charcoal canister removal
  18. Maybe one of you could post some pics of the fitting of these?
  19. It is unwise to drive it in that state, should that come off you could be in need of another bonnet.
  20. dude had a couple of sets for sale?
  21. Free has gone up to £60, inflation is getting worse.
  22. I am surprised you have blinged up the hooks, hopefully they won't be needed often and I think it looks tidier without them. I hope so anyway, because the hook bolt holes on mine have been given a new purpose in life.
