About the only things you will find using Tappab0ll0c#s, are pants.
-
Why even try to find me on Tappab0ll0c#s, when you can simply send me a Prisoner Message on here? I have already sent you an invite to the Transmission Group to help you, but this you have ignored?

I have yet to come across a failed speed sensor. But if the one that you fitted still had the TT driven-gear attached to the back of it, this will have been shredded against an un-matching internal Aristo drive-gear. Nevertheless, if the sensor that you fitted was fitted to/with the Aristo driven-gear, all will be well, other than gear-changes happening up to 100rpm sooner than was with T.T. box, because of different speed information, not rpm. If your speedometer appears to be working correctly, you have a matching pair of Aristo gears behind your speed sensor. If your speedometer doesn't work, would be because T.T. driven-gear doesn't mesh properly with internal Aristo drive-gear. Changing the internal drive-gear is a simple enough job up on a ramp or over a pit.
-
The Aristo and T.T. no.2 speed sensor is and are the same thing, it's the pairs of gears beneath them that are different, it's all explained in the links I gave you.
-
As I have already confirmed, the Aristo no. 2 speed sensor gears are definitely part of the problem, yet only by 100rpm. You also have another electronic issue that has lowered the engine rpm limit.
-
Aristo has 3.625:1 diff-ratio & T.T. Auto Supra has 3.769:1 diff-ratio. This graduated little difference will be sent to the ECU from no. 2 speed-sensor, resulting with gear-changes happening up-to 100rpm earlier @ WOT. (If I hadn't told you, you would never have noticed!) If you must, the fix is to remove Aristo tail-shaft housing and swap-in the 3.769:1 Supra T.T. drive-gears into no. 2 speed-sensor. These gears are in matching pairs and MUST be kept in matching pairs. Opposite example; fitting 4.083 N/A gears into 3.769:1 T.T. auto box with N/A ECU transmission control gives 200 rpm higher gear-changes. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=229&do=discuss

Because this problem was apparently same with previous box it looks to be an old problem that your new box has inherited? But to confuse the issue even more, the Aristo box has a different ratio pair of gears in the no. 2 speed sensor which has confused the gear-change tables? These gears can be swapped to increase or decrease gear-change rpm. Info here. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=229&do=discuss Ellis ran a converted Aristo box in his Supra, maybe he has input re. resulting gear-change speeds?

That's because you're spoilt, yours cost a can of beer and a curry cooked by your mum.

P.S. If you try to pour in the whole 8 litres, it will come out of the vent at the top and make a mess on your dads drive.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: I don't care how good that you think your "too busy sending texts" excuse may be for bringing a filthy dirty and/or un drained transmission and/or with open unprotected oil-ways for me to work on may be. (Which has proven to be the ridiculous, lazy, inconsiderate and inexcusable behaviour of around 80% of Club Members (Idiots).) I WILL NO LONGER TOLERATE THIS STUPIDITY AND WILL REFUSE TO DO THE JOB. XXX :yeahthat: :yeahthat: :yeahthat: :yeahthat: :yeahthat: Alternatively; Invert and strip a transmission that has a sump full of ATF and/or is caked thick on the outside with old engine oil, on your wife's or mother's kitchen floor. Then she can have a go at trying to beat some sense into you? F.F.S.

11. Use chisel to clean off old RTV 12. Use brake cleaner to degrease sealant faces 13. Apply a 6mm bead of RTV to sump 14. Replace sump bolts torqued to 6.5ftlb 15. Pour 6.5 litres of ATF into dipstick tube 16. Remove ATF "flow" line from cooler and hold over bucket 17. Start engine and run until fresh fluid can be seen 18. Have an assistant pour in another litre whilst the engine is running 19. Turn off engine and reconnect pipe 20. Top up transmission to correct mark on dipstick Note: If you try and pour in the whole 8 litres, it comes out of the vent at the top and make a mess on the drive.

How to 1. Jack up car 2. Use 14mm spanner to undo drain plug 3. Drain old ATF into drip tray 4. Use 10mm socket & ratchet to undo pan bolts 5. Use hammer and wood chisel or proper tool to break seal on pan 6. Clean magnets with mechanics wipe 7. Good idea to remove solenoids and clean them with brake cleaner whilst you are in there 8. Good idea to check torque on valve-body bolts whilst you're in there, 7ftlb 9. Use 10mm socket for changing strainer and checking valve-body bolts 10. Use torque wrench to tighten strainer bolts to 7ftlb

With Mr. T's. Transmission Bible, reference to pics of components in the Group pages and with bluesonic94 doing the heavy lifting and passing the spanners. After much component referencing and parts juggling, my kitchen floor has given birth to the first ever Tiptronic box converted to Automatic. World First Tiptronic box rebuilt with Supra T.T. Automatic valve-body, loom and shimmed accumulator springs
-
I have at long-long last managed to get my hands onto and cast my beady eyes over a Tiptronic transmission. It was an Aristo box which turns out has the largest version sump. Aristo transmission with Tiptronic valve-body Transmission casting and oil-ways I found that the casting and oil-ways are same as for N/A and T.T. boxes, which means that I can Hybridise Tiptronic boxes with N/A and/or T.T. components. Tiptronic accumulators and springs These I found to be same as in T.T, except for having a different strength small-spring in accumulator 2 and a single soft-spring in the C-0 accumulator instead of a stronger pair.
