  1. Maybe the subframe bolts are seized and didn't tighten up? Try loosening them and re-torquing, one at a time.
  2. J, Give me a call, I have a poorly one you can have.
  3. I daren't mention it, he gets upset when folks suggest such things...........
  4. Even if such could never be proven, many Countries are filing claims for $trillions against China. Either/or, there are some very troubling times ahead.

  6. State Department cables warned of safety issues at Wuhan lab studying bat coronaviruses https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/04/14/state-department-cables-warned-safety-issues-wuhan-lab-studying-bat-coronaviruses/ (Previous Twitter link deleted)
  7. Britain's death toll could be DOUBLE official tally https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8214867/Chris-Whitty-reveals-92-care-homes-declared-coronavirus-outbreak-past-24-hours-alone.html https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/14/care-homes-coronavirus-why-we-dont-know-true-uk-death-toll#maincontent
  8. Herbie, To save you needing to keep creating new threads about your engine, it would be easier for everyone if you kept it all under one title. "This is what happens when you bodge it and/or do it on the cheap" would cover it.
  9. I have never understood the fascination/addiction of Shopping Ritual, especially since almost anything and everything can be ordered with the click of a button and delivered to your door, have had my groceries and all other shopping delivered for years, all it takes is a few tins in the cupboard and a little forward planning. Maybe Shopping Ritual is a throwback to a primeval foraging instinct, that is more prevalent in women than men? I am in the group instructed to practise social shielding for 12 weeks and consequently, in total lock-down isolation. Furthermore, I am severely physically disabled and unfortunately, at this time also have another extreme ailment that under normal circumstances I would have been admitted into Hospital for treatment. Nevertheless, I am still able to manage my life without the assistance of others. Shopping Ritual is the least of my concerns.
  10. Coronavirus lockdown: fresh data on compliance. https://theconversation.com/coronavirus-lockdown-fresh-data-on-compliance-and-public-opinion-135872 The dimmer folks are, the less they "get it", maybe coronavirus should be explained to them as "Invisible Jumping Spiders"? My Dimwit neighbour and her extended Dimwit family think this National Emergency is a National Holiday! Because our location is tucked out of the way, they keep turning up here for Lala! At least 4 shopping trips a week with either one daughter or the other, 3 family get together's a week with daughters, sons in law, grandchildren and/or brother and family and 2 days of 4 grandchildren from 2 families running about out front in the open plan gardens. I am waiting for her to get carted off in a hearse so I can go out and do some socially distanced weeding! A tighter lock-down must be on the cards?
  11. The Cryto Currency thread in Off Topic pops up in "new posts", but it appears that any Coronavirus topics are being subdued. Maybe it is regarded as bad for business here too?
  12. If Supermarkets actually cared for their employees and customers instead of their profits, they could adopt delivery and click & collect only services. This would free up staff to meet online demand, provide a safer working environment for their staff and be safer for their customers too. Money-money-money...............
  13. Recovered coronavirus patients test positive again. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/10/south-korea-reports-recovered-coronavirus-patients-testing-positive/
  14. China promotes bear bile as coronavirus treatment. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/2020/03/chinese-government-promotes-bear-bile-as-coronavirus-covid19-treatment/ Maybe it'll be Bruinovirus next!
  15. I can understand that there are not enough delivery slots available for everyone to have a grocery home delivery, but I can't understand why so many folks are queuing up to run a Russian Roulette Gauntlet of Death in the Supermarkets, in preference to using the Click & Collect service?
  16. Becoming a biological scientist is to acquire a 4-year bachelor degree in biology. An aspiring biological scientist takes classes in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and computer science. General education requirements might include English, a foreign language, communications, social sciences and arts. Why does this list not include an O level in common sense?
  17. In the U.K, without a total lock-down that's impracticable and millions of tests that are impossible for the "system", it is now too widespread to "isolate and quarantine the infected and trace any individuals". That should have been done here no later than February. In Third World countries crowded slums without running water, no money, no food, and no healthcare or even an address, this would be impossible to administer. The bottom line appears to be; to "ration" deaths to an "acceptable" figure until herd immunity eventually comes along and helps the statistics. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52219930 For anyone unfortunate enough to be one of the somewhat random "1%", life is going to be a "Russian Roulette" until a vaccine is developed. Even so...... my dimwit neighbours continue to behave as if this National Emergency is a National Holiday!
  18. Countries in the Southern Hemisphere appear to be suffering a similar pattern as in the North, which is looking to put "less voracious in warmer climates" onto the same wishful hope list as "Herd Immunity" and the 1% mortality rate is dependent on sufficient Hospitals with Intensive Care Units, oxygen and ventilators many of them don't have. Consequently, compounded with prior poor nutrition and poor infrastructure, it is almost inevitable that the "just 1%" could become several percent more.
  19. The diversion of Love for Money loosely disguised as wishful thinking for a magical Herd Immunity, exacerbated by the inexcusably small amount of testing, combined with the embarrassing number of folks too dim to understand Social Distancing and with freedom to run about in public places panting heavily amongst others, is a combination that is highly likely to soon put deaths in the U.K. top of the European League. The U.S. has far more dim folks than U.K, which will guarantee them to soon become Top of the Global League, until India and Third World countries surpass all. Stay at home and keep safe.
  20. 1993 Toyota Supra Automatic Transmission Repair Service Manual https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383485950562?ul_noapp=true Bargain!
  21. The moral of this tale appears to be; don't sell your Supra, alternatively, raffle it for double the price!
  22. No it won't. To make it work; take the now unused pieces of automatic transmission loom from your Supra and add to the Soarer loom. You will also need to use a GE auto ECU. The transmission tunnel may need converting too?
