  2. Damn, she does look good on those Lexus wheels...!! One of the things I always meant to get around to doing was either getting different wheels or the colour changed from gold. It was, of course, a bit of a wrench to sell in the end but in the cold light of day I wasn't using her anywhere near enough, worrying where I'd left her parked when I did go out etc. These things are meant to be used after all! I'm glad she's stayed in the club and gone to someone who's clearly got a passion for the car (10th one... madness!). I think there's a very good chance I'll have another in the future, especially as my wife misses having one too! Whether it'll be in as good a condition and seen as little use though, I seriously doubt! I'd be far better off it wasn't mind, I might actually use it then..!!! Enjoy her Scott
  3. Not sure on the Captain Mainwaring character... Arthur Lowe was so good in the original though it was always going to be a hard act to follow. As is true with most of the characters, to be fair - will be interested to see if this does justice!
  4. Kind of agree... I have these in our gym and under the weight of the machines they do compress a fair bit. However, they do spring back into shape after a day or two and it's way better than having the cold concrete floor! If you can put up with the inevitable dents that a car and other bits and bobs will cause, then it's a cheap and fairly comfy, easy clean (just use a vacuum with the hard floor brush down) fix.
  5. Not really contributing much here, just chipping in that I'd love an Alfa at some point - just their shocking reliability worries me! There are some great Spider and GT bargains to be found at the moment. As for the family car, my sister in law had a 3 series diesel, was a very good car in their ownership to my recollection. You do see them everywhere mind and they are pretty uninspiring - not bad performance (like most diesels), but just felt a bit generic. I think they only got rid in the end because changing the tyres was so costly (being runflats) and seemed with their average mileage they were doing them more than expected. Could have been an imbalance somewhere I suppose, but they were happy with it other than that.
  6. Is it just the angle, or does the car look impossibly close to the garage wall in that lower picture?!
  7. The H/K ones are pretty good (if a little oddly designed, imo) - but they're quite regularly cheaper than that. I've seen them as low as £69 fairly recently (2 months ago) at Tesco, Amazon and John Lewis. Admittedly not much help to you now if you're wanting them sharp-ish You can usually test out a decent range of them if you go into a Currys/PC World. Come home then and find them a bit cheaper online.
  8. Forgot all about checking the forum before going... duh. Seeing as I live 5 mins away it would have been rude not to pop along! Was pretty busy there for a while, a lot of GTR's there too. Didn't have my car as the mrs had to take it today A few lovely cars there, especially that Datsun! I knew I recognised the C8 SUP plate from here, too. The Whifbitz cars looked pretty decent too
  9. Lived in Magor 8 years and had the Supra for 4 - never knew you were around here! Maybe even driven past you without knowing Be interesting to see a place around here I'd be happy to take my car!
  10. How about Markie's? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?261190-1998-Black-J-SPEC-6-SPEED-TT-VVT-i
  11. Definitely can't go up any higher? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?254492-Import-1996-RZ-S-Low-Mileage-Red-Auto-BPU
  12. Well, seeing as you were the architect of this particular look, I suppose you would
  13. Also interested to know how this fares on the dB levels... Have been thinking about a Medalion Touring for ages to replace my HKS due to it's noise (it's not overly loud, but at 7am when I leave for work it is!), and wondering how this compares - can't seem to find any info to compare on Tanabe's site as it appears to be a model they no longer produce? Any ideas how this'd sound starting from cold on a BPU Supra?
