  1. Hi guys im near the end of an n/a - tt transplant..i havent had much experience with this sort of thing before and have been getting help from the mechanics at the garage im using, ive managed to get this far using guides from here etc but i have a few final connections/hoses which i cant figure out for the life of me.. If anyone knows what these are and can describe where they go i would really appreciate that as i would like to get it out of the garage asap Many thanks in advance... there are these bullet connectors which run off the connection from the manifold (02 sensor??) where do these connect to? This hose which i believe is coming from the throttle body? not sure where this goes? This long hose which i believe is a breather but again not sure where it goes? These 2 connectors which are coming from the lump just near the intake? This nozzle near the power steering pump?cant seem to find a hose to go to it? And these 4 hoses - I think 2 are for the power steering reservoir which im waiting for but where do the rest go?? Thanks again for any advice - i may not know much about cars but at least im learning and the forums and guides have been a massive help James
  2. Hi guys hope ur all well! I'm on the middle of my 1st major project n altho I'm using some great guides from here I'm a little stuck, basically I have got the engine in,new clutch in,gearbox, propshaft so I'm basically down to wiring the engine in now etc but I'm struggling to find any diagrams of engines to see what plugs where etc,I have done some of the basic ones and I understand that the tt loom to the n/a fusebox needs slightly modifying and also it appears that where the na steering reservoir used to be there is a throttle body on the tt engine in the way so it obviously mounts somewhere else? A diagram would really help me out. Thanks in advance guys
  3. Cheers parry I'll find one then
  4. Sorry after more searching i have found that you dont need a tt throttle ecu if your using manual 5 speed.
  5. Hi guys im starting this engine transplant tomorrow and have been reading up on it for a while (thx to Miko's how to guide) at the risk of sounding stupid is it necessary to get a tt throttle control ecu or tt dial cluster in order to do the transplant? Thanks guys
  6. Hi guys hope that you're all well I am about to start the n/a - tt conversion - i have the engine, loom, ecu,IC etc etc but in my stupidity i may have overlooked a TT igniter pack If anyone has one for sale n can help me out give me a pm please as im pretty desperate,im in the garage from friday for a week n have the time off work etc Many thanks in advance James Quickest response ever - I have one now many thanks RyanG
  7. Hi mate I would be interested in this,I'm currently doin an n/a-tt build n just have the 1 key that's badly worn,no alarm and no central locking fob-this sounds like it will basically rectify these small problems. Will it work with standard n/a central locking? Is it easy to fit?(never done it before n I'm guessin the instructions are Jap) Is it the complete kit - everything I will need to do it? If so then it's sold Cheers - James
  8. Hi mate is this still available?
  9. Great write up I've just purchased the parts to do my n/a - tt conversion so this is my new bible!
  10. Hi guys, My engine is jz n/a, Can anybody tell me the implications of putting in an rz or sz tt? For example will the loom need to be modified or anything like that? Thanks in advance
  11. I used a Broker called A-Plan,they charge like 50commision if they find you a good enough quote..but they do search around loads of insurance companies that i hadnt even heard of,mine has remained at 550 for the last 3 years (inc their 50commision) Worked out well for me anyway
  12. Thanks very much for the advice guys this should really help,n good to know I'm on the right track,I'll pm keron
  13. Hi guys hope your all well. I have been running an N/a for nearly 3 years and have grown quite attached to the car but recently i have been thinking about Turbos..From my understanding i think the cheapest way to do this would be to get a 2jz gte and swap it in as i hear Turbo conversions can be around 3k+,im only just really learning about cars i really am a bit of a newb but luckily i know people in the trade who are very patient and willing to help me with the work and let me use their garage So my questions are these : - Is this the best way to go about it? -What should i look to pay for the Engine? -What other work would need to be done? Thanks a lot guys, sorry if these are stupid obvious questions - They arent to me haha
