  1. been a while since i posted something on this issue due to a lack of time.Last weekend i figured out that the ticking is comming from the powersteering pump. Now for the replacement, is there something in particular i have to watch out for? As i've never done this before. The pump still works as the car turns without any problem but the ticking is definitely comming from the pump. I read there are some refurb kits available, are these gonna do any good or should i just swap?
  2. Please dont frighten me before i know exactly what the problem is
  3. yes im pretty sure. I will double check in the morning. Lets hope not.
  4. I have no idea what a tipex test is or a crank damper I'll look it up on google thx for the ideas
  5. ok ill try that tomorrow. I had another listen and dont think the clicking is comming from the injectors area. Its more in the front under the cover.
  6. Hey just bought a supra yesterday in UK. Driving it home to belgium there where no problems or funny noises. 2 days later i start the car and immediately it starts ticking in the front of the engine. This ticking becomes faster as i rev up. no matter if the car is cold/hot ,idle or driving its there. Anyone ideas on what i might check? The car is a N/A 5 manual with about 100.000 miles combined with km from 95'. I heard a good oil flush and change might help? going to do this tomorrow but i dont have any hopes in it. I know the car has had a not so good service histori as the previous owner was so kind to be honest. Maybe timing belt? thx
  7. is this one sold? as it is still on pistonheads.
  8. just a silly question, whats the difference between k reg and l reg?? I'm from belgium looking to buy a car in UK and allways come over these 2 "types" of registration or whatever they are. Tried googeling whitout succes and really wonder. thx
  9. @ ilicos : no i asked and are not the same standards they gave me a funny look @ rinus : omg what happened lol i went to MOT with the lambda's disconnected and the CO value rocketed like they had never seen before . After this i connected the lambdas when they where not looking and asked for another trie and only had 0,2 instead of 6,6 value This was with the lemon cleaned lambdas so @ shane : thx for the tip it actually worked for me !
  10. by any chance have a front passenger wing and a bonnet for sale? no carbon.
  11. lol @ Rinus I cannot believe that . And you are allowed to just pass without lambda? Maybe ill give it a try if i cant pass MOT tomorrow. offtopic may i ask how does it work if you put a single turbo on a supra in holland? Is this just allowed? I dont think we can pas MOT here if on papers it says no turbo or twin turbo and it actually has 1 big turbo installed...
  12. I allso have some grey smoke at startup probably valve stem seals, didnt worry too much about this but could this have an impact on CO value?
  13. I'll check it Graham but i'm from belgium and dont think they have same standards... When they check i have to rev to 2500 rpm and keep it steady and the value may not go above 3,5 i believe and mine had 6,.. something. But may be worth asking if they are not checking on GTE standards.
  14. Ok so i just took out the lamba sensors now to find a lemon... Tomorrow ill go back to MOT and if i pass, the lemon theorie is 100% proven to me. very curious
  15. I regret not having the values... Shane ill try taking out and cleaning the lambda sensor, but the exact location? I assume its not too difficult?
  16. btw the car runs stable on idle. But it does smell more than my other sup so overfueling is probably the cause? The airfilter is as good as new. The car is from 94.
  17. Im selling my sup N/A manual , i wanted to pas MOT for the guy who is buying the car. But it failed the emissions test, too high CO value allmost the double of what was allowed... How can i set this straight without putting too much money in it as the car is allready sold. Would reseting the ecu do any good? Or probably a lambda sensor but how much do this thingys cost? Or any other option is welcome. The car is all standard with all cats still on. Thx

    Bonnet

Looking for bonnet any colour is ok but arctic silver would be nice. No carbon please.
  19. aaah stupid me offcourse he's in the dealers section the only one i didn't check....thx a lot
  20. ok thx anyways. Now whats the guys name who allways has some supras to break and sells the pieces...i forgot his name and cant find him
  21. any chance you have a bonnet for sale?
  22. Ok...what does it cost to send a bonnet within UK then? anyone done this?
  23. I had an accident about a month ago with my sup now i need some parts but they'll need to be delivered to belgium from UK as here there are allmost no parts to find. Now is it hard to send a bonnet or is this commonly done?I ask because this is the biggest part i need next to the front passenger wing. Is this veeery expensive or still reasonable as i have no experience with this. A trip to the UK costs me about 150-200£ and a very long day of driving to pick it up but would be easier if it would be delivered. anyone any idea's? thx
  24. Man I'm so jealous... Japan is my number 1 priority on the vacation list. Hope you enjoy your stay.
