Hey congrats on the supra but i know you are the owner since a while now seen your car on belgian forum. Just wondering how are you going to get the supra trough MOT (keuring) in Belgium once you have fitted the turbo and stuff. You may not do any enginemods here in Belgium and even if they don't check everything you shouldn't take them for idiots I assume they will notice the Big turbo in the bay or at least hear it, and if on your papers it says it's a non turbo you can go back home and dismantle the whole thing again i think. Just to warn you in case you didn't think about it. Groeten uit Limburg
  8. thx for the link but i have seen this car for sale about a week ago on gumtree i think? Sent the guy an email and got this typical ripoff mail back : Sorry that I have given no response. I'm in hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I had surgery, my right leg amputated. First of all I want to tell you that I am not selling this car for profit or due a lack of money. All I can say is that some recent events in my life made me change my perception of certain things, things that I’ve considered important in the past. I will donate 50% to charity after I sell this car. The car is in an excellent condition, no dents or scratches, it was always garaged and regular maintenance and oil changes were done in time. Hasn’t been involved in an accident or flood damage. The motor runs very well. I don’t want to offend you but the car is priced for a fast sale so please if you intend to apply for a loan or financing do not reply. The transaction will be made through Trans International Company for the safety of both. If you want to buy the car, and you agree with my terms please reply so I can explain you how Trans International Company works. Waiting for your reply. Cheers Original LHD His leg amputated?? 50% goes to charity ?? ...sure So i'm not too keen on mailing again for this car even if it is a "different" seller. But still thx for the link
  9. Maybe someone can help with some information about importing a car to the UK from US. I have all the data and prices about how to import one to Belgium but i was wondering if maybe it would be cheaper and especially faster to import one to UK and then bring it to Belgium. What taxes do you have to pay when importing a car to UK and how much does it cost to register it. And how long does this procedure take? So many supras are imported from Japan to UK so i think you guys know more about this and it shouldn't be much difference when importing from US. As here in Belgium when you import a car from outside the EU the paperwork takes aproximately 9-12 months. In contrary to importing a car from UK wich only takes about 6 weeks for the paperwork(still long enough) Thx
  10. Ok and if Scott changes his mind i'll take it
  11. Yes that's what i meant, a high mileage american or european TT. Sometimes cheaper LHD supras come along for sale in europe but mileage is mostly above 200.000km. If engineswap with Jdm 2jz doesnt cause a lot of "problems" this would be the best option i think...
  12. What if i would buy a LHD and want to put a lowermileage RHD engine in it. Does this bring a lot of trouble?
  13. Ow thx for the links ! Makes me sad to see so many LHD crashed sups. They aren't exactly much cheaper in the states
  14. Maybe silly question but does anyone know a good US carsale website?Just to check prices in America i am actually curious. And thx for the replies guys at least i have an idea now but like you say, seems hard without donor. I have some friends with LHD supras, maybe if i just....no,cant do that....or...
  15. Oeps meant 1500£ offcourse
  16. OK OK !!! Just to be sure you guys get a decent sleep tonight and your wife doesn't catch you behind your computer at 3 in the morning searching the internet desperatly to find this girl and her ass! Her name is Keyra Augustina, she is from argentina(where i lived before i moved to this godforsaken 24h rainy miserable backgarden they call Belgium). The pride off our nation!! Now pleaaase !! lets get back on topic
  17. Yes i was wondering that, does the shell need adjustment too?
  18. Yes i know LHD are bloody cheap check this one out !! http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=v3an1l22voow No ok there are cheaper ones but come on 20.000€ is not cheap to me. Offcourse i understand i can't expect to get a LHD for 10.000€. Sending one from the states... don't know really haven't checked. But they aren't much cheaper than here in Belgium i think. And add about 1500£ transport, don't know if import taxes count here, but i think they do.
  19. Thx Keron that gives at least an idea. Its not that these parts are impossible to find, its just not easy. Sometimes a crashed LHD comes by here on the web but they get sold pretty quick . Seems a lot of work but i do think one would be cheaper off by doing this then buying a LHD. This offcourse if you have someone to do the work at a friendly price.
  20. I wish...easier yes offcourse if you have a secret treasurechest in your basement. LHD tend to go for at least 20.000£ for a decent one(and that's cheap). Are some for about 15000£ but condition is not ideal and high mileage. If for example i would buy a TT RHD for let's say about 8000£, and the cheap LHD go for 15000£ you still have about 7000£ room to do the conversion. Maybe it would be more expensive i don't know. That's what i'm trying to figure out.
  21. Hey guys, after driving too many RHD supras here in Belgium i was wondering what would be needed to do a RHD to LHD conversion. I'm not so technical when it comes to cars so maybe you guys can clear things up for me a bit. I know this probably isn't easy or cheap but it has been done so the possibility is real. Thx
  22. Need few parts to get the supra on the road again. - passenger frontwing, need this to be 199 silver! prefacelift - any frontbumper, but must be 199 silver too! In good condition, wont be easy but i'll give it a shot here . allready have these parts in other colour but i'm trying to cut back on the repaircosts. - powersteering pump for a N/A....need this to be in good/working condition as i allready bought one but it's of no use... Thx on advance Seba
