  2. Finally the day came where I drove her Picture update… Arrived at Protuner on Friday afternoon to pick her up… She was driving lovely and really happy with it and stopped half way home for some food but then went out to the car to carry on the journey home and she wouldn’t start, was nothing happening at all when I was turning the key she wasn’t even trying to crank so after abit of searching I couldn’t find out the problem and had to carry on its journey home on the back of a recovery truck… Saturday was fault finding day and luckily found the problem to be a bad earth so sorted this and she fired up fine again then Sunday was abit of a tidy up day on her… Then went for another drive in her Sunday night… Then parked up at mine (I do all the work on her out my parents house) and went out this morning to see her sat happily next to my black Supra All in all a very good weekend and feels amazing to finally drive her again, just got to do my run in miles now and I have final mapping booked for Thursday 31st May as this was the earliest Greg at Protuner could do. Just got to enjoy driving her and running her in now

  9. I have just successfully negotiated my insurance with Sky for my white Supra and also my Civic so thought I would share my experience with them: (I have been with Sky quite a few times before but is always nice to give up to date reviews) As always when looking for car insurance my first port of call is an email to a girl called Rose Miller who works for sky insurance as she is always more than happy to help and goes out of her way to make sure the overall service you receive from Sky and the team is great whether they can be competitive or not and as always she was very helpful this time too (she also loves her cars so understands what we are after). Rose then put me through to a guy called Luke Tillbrook to go through the finer aspects of the quote. Luke too was very helpful in going through my details to ensure he had everything to work out a good quote and the price he came back with was just over £1500 (I cant remember the exact oddments) for my white Supra which included an agreed valuation which I was wanting on the policy. I then spoke to a few others to get quotes as I had a ballpark to work off to see if they could do any better (I wanted to go with Sky due to customer service but always got to shop around incase the difference sways the decision) and the best quote I got was from Adrian Flux which worked out at just over £1450 (again I cant remember the exact oddments) but the more appealing side of this offer was a higher agreed value (£70,000) as they said that they dont work out the agreed value from market value but they take into account the additional modifications and go by a figure of what it would cost to replace the vehicle to the same condition/spec. I then went back to Luke at Sky telling him the exact quote that I got from Adrian Flux to see if he could match it and he came in with a price of £1400 so I took this option and insured through Sky. Im 30 years old, clean license, 9 years no claims bonus, 1 claim in last 5 years, living in Hereford (West Mids), every single modification declared. After sorting out the white Supra insurance I then asked for a quote on my Civic (07 plate 2.2 turbo diesel) as Luke mentioned he could mirror my no claims bonus which came in at £410 which seemed a little steep for a 9 years no claims policy for the Civic as it was mirrored but is cheaper than starting a fresh new policy on it as my black Supra is using my other policy with 5 years no claims on. Overall Summary: Rose Miller (Sky) = Legend as always and ensured I had a good service throughout Luke Tillbrook (Sky) = Very helpful and a very friendly person to talk to and ask questions throughout Sky in general = Very good service and happy with the prices I got Arguably could say that a better price only came after getting alternative quotes but this is 2018 now and we all know by this day in age that you need to get an alternative quote after the first price to go back with for any insurance company.
  10. Hahaha got to be honest iv never noticed one in a porno yeah I seen the one in the inbetweeners and also in Buffy the Vampire Slayer too but have seen all Friends episodes loads of times each and had never noticed that until last night
  11. I was always a massive Friends fan but I never noticed this until watching an old episode last night... Season 10 episode 6 where Joey gives Chandler an audition tape to pass on and Chandler lies to him by saying he watched the tape and liked it... Towards the end of this episode Chandler comes into the apartment and is talking to Joey while Joey is sat in the chair reading a Magazine titled "Sports Illustrated" and on the back cover is a photo of a Supra
  12. Nice plans mate main bit of advice from a quick glance would be to remember to remove the terrys chocolate orange from the throttle body before installation as that may restrict your air flow
  13. Thankyou mate yeah certain area's of this build have been far passed my capabilities so had to get alot done professionally but have done as much as possible myself and has given that extra sense of achievement with the outcome that i'm proud of Just got to wait for the results now
  14. Start the thread in "Supra Chat" and a mod will move it to the projects section bud
  15. Thanks mate Cheers Kev I wasn't planning to mate it was a last minute decision when I looked at inner barrel diameters, think the HKS one would be ok but this one has a bigger barrel diameter so at least I know 100% the capacity is there Cheers mate nope I have left them smooth but they are stainless steel so are alot stronger than aluminium and I have got mikalor clamps so that I could do them really tight (although think Greg is doing a pressure/smoke test atm so hope im not speaking to soon lol) Hahaha yep I always put little bits on facebook but I save my more detailed updates for this thread on the forum Thanks mate yeah shouldn't be too long now aslong as all goes to plan Thankyou mate Haha cheers bud me too Thanks mate Cheers Mark
  16. Well its been quite a weekend… I have again missed to photo so much due to just being busy and getting stuck in but here’s the pics that I do have… Cut up my carbon Cam cover to suit the clear greddy cover… Fitted my Injectors and rail… Finished getting my intercooler pipes fabricated then Mum was kind enough to give them a good clean for me to ensure no dust or anything inside them… Trial fitted my new Air Filter (think it was a little to small)… Then it was time for her to come out the garage for 4 wheel alignment… Being wide arch made it a tight fit on the trailer… But then out she comes… Arrived at John Woods Tyres for 4 wheel alignment… Got back home and put the UK bonnet scoop back in… Next was putting the turbo housing back on with the turbo jacket and strut brace… Arrived at ProTuner for mapping and put the front bumper on… And lastly an achievement selfie with my Dad who I could never of done half of what I achieved without him… Now she’s at mapping and will keep up to date with the progress however he thinks it will be a couple of weeks as he is also wiring in the Syvecs and sensors before putting a base map on then running in the engine for me before doing a full power run and also setting up bits like traction control, launch control, anti-lag etc… Just awaiting on the updates now and will keep you all posted.
