  1. Im actually coming up today but just until sunday so would struggle abit for time, will let you know if I get a window free though and will next time if not
  2. Thanks mate yeah definitely be careful with them, in the dry I cant compliment them enough they are fantastic but they dont like the wet. This wouldn't put me off using them again id just be more careful in the wet but I knew this anyway and had been warned alot so was all my own fault.
  3. If it is that company then a few on here will know so they will comment in soon enough, hope it is a decent company though and that you have found a good bargain but just be cautious and done the right thing in asking on here as there are alot of people that have dealt with all companies and have reviews based on experience
  4. If the wheels are still available then id pick them up to have as spares but only if the above people are no longer interested
  5. Is this the new name for the company that was "Boys Toys" I don't want to offer an opinion just yet as I could be wrong but a few others on here are sure to know if it is or not...
  6. another recommendation for having it dipped a few of the panels will be straight forward enough but some will be a right pig to do, I tried wrapping the top dash pieces (the piece above the dials and has the clear plastic screen with the odo behind it) and was turning out to be alot of work to get it right so I sent it away to be dipped in the end by a member on here and was very happy with the result.
  7. I do a huge amount of miles and for a daily have a 07 plate Honda Civic 2.2 diesel, with a £200 remap from radical remaps it makes 186bhp and 270ib/ft torque aswell as returning mid 50's to the gallon and very spacious (back seats go forward and down so you gain extra space from a flat surface all from the boot into the car. Depends what you like though as it is very comfortable to drive and very driver friendly in how the dials/speedo etc are set up but in my view is a very ugly car and the interior is ok but not my kind of thing generally. does me well though for what im after from it
  8. Welcome im not from your area but I am very often up in Aberdeen though. Nice looking Supra
  9. Thanks mate planning any more engine mods.... dunno what your talking about Thanks Annabella definitely will keep at it she'l be back and more improved Cheers bud will keep me out of trouble over winter anyway with this one and the green one to work on now lol Thanks mate yeah exactly gotta make the most of the situation and bring her back with a twist
  10. Thanks mate, she will be very similar yeah, will be a few surprises in store for her but mostly the same cosmetically Thanks mate yeah she will be back, making the best of a bad situation and doing a few more bits to her at the same time, would be abit demoralizing to bring her back exactly the same as the incident would always stick in my mind worse so if I use it as an excuse to improve her at least I can use it as a memory that spurred me on to do more improvements Water and R888's with a driver (me) that put his foot down abit much knowing the fact he had R888's on and was water everywhere. I never take it out in the wet for this reason but was on a weekend away up in applecross. It only happened at about 20mph and only slid onto a grass bank but still done alot of damage.
  11. As alot of you already know this happened a couple of weeks back.... Luckily there is no mechanical damage and the chassis, shell etc are all perfect so is just a matter of new wheels and new bodykit and will be perfect just how she was. I will however be making a few other modifications along the way and will be keeping this thread up to date. p.s. This is the only photo taken of the damage and I wont take any more as I want to forget the incident but just adding one on this thread so that this thread can remain a journal of the transformation of the car and the full journey she has had under my ownership. Onto the next step of getting her back on the road aswell as much improved and better than ever
  12. Im in Hereford and I went all the way up to Newcastle (6 hour drive each way) to get mine fitted. Its worth travelling to get a good job done especially when it involves cutting your shell.
  13. wrong week again im up this weekend I should make a note of these in my calendar lol
  14. Totally agree tip size is vital, the smaller the tip size the more ability you have to generate spin to control the cueball however it becomes harder to strike the white dead straight on longer range shots if you go too small as anything slightly off centre and you are in effect swerving the white ever so slightly... I started using a 9mm with the first cue I ever got made but slightly reduced this over time and now use a 8.25mm tip. Quite a few players have started using a one piece although personally iv always preferred a 3/4 cue instead of a one piece as you can get a more even weight distribution rather than having all the weight in the butt but thats just my personal choice everyone has different preferences due to how they feel comfortable and also the style that they play so would be whatever suits the individual.
  15. Im pretty sure iv still got 2 old ones knocking about in the garage Tim.... will look tonight to confirm and text you but you can have them if so.
  16. Im running 18x12 et20 with ridox widearch and they sit flush so id say no they wont fit on stock body and I believe from memory there was only one other offset choice for this wheel which was way off (could be wrong be seem to recall that being the case). As mentioned above though offsets are your key.
  17. Hi Rob, iv always had my cue's made by a guy called Paul Strafford in Stroud, he owns a business called matchplay (link to his website below). Iv always spent alot more than that on cues due to the level I was playing but his custom cues do start at about the £150 mark so can state length, weight and height that you want aswell as design to a certain extent. His number is 07836316838 if you wanted to give him a call. He is great at what he does which is why iv always used him but only thing I will say is that whatever time he says it will be add half on again lol. He will say that is will be around 4 weeks but allow 6 weeks. https://www.matchplay-cues.com/
  18. Sounds awesome looking forward to seing the pics welcome
  19. Personally I like them was dubious what it would look like when I fitted them to mine but as mentioned on here a few times everyone is different and you mod your car to your taste I liked them anyway These are R888's though lol
  20. Hi just wondering what options there are for carbon lower front splitters for the ridox front bumper? Iv seen the one on whiffbitz which il probably end up going for again but just wondering if there are any different types that fit that I can look at
  21. I got direct port on mine rather than just having the one injector before the throttle body like on most. depends how you want to use it.
  22. Welcome to the forum Im sure any local members would be happy to take you out for a drive if you keep an eye on what meets and events come up near you
