  1. Welcome very nice... what kind of spec you aiming with the single turbo? whack some pics up when you get chance
  2. I got a 2007 5 door Civic 2.2 turbo diesel as my daily which I would recommend as you can pick them up for around £2k get mid 50's to the gallon and with a £200 remap at radical remaps it pushes 186bhp with 270ib/ft torque so although not fast its no slouch either as far as dailys go im not keen on the look of them myself but does everything I want out of a daily and is very spacious inside too for boot room and back seats room.
  3. Well this is the first time iv ever used this phrase but iv just ordered some tyres from Asda I went for Michelin Pilot Sports Thanks for your advice guys and thanks for the link to the tyres being cheaper at Asda Annabella
  4. No luck with getting any more Mickey Thompson's... everywhere is out of stock and they cant get any more in so iv gone for M and H Racemaster Drag Radials (pictured below) instead ordered today and should be with me in 14 days also just checked the tracking info and apparently my 2 new replacement Rota wheels are at home waiting for me
  5. Iv never experienced them myself but my ex had them on her Evo X and she used to complain about them being bad so thats all iv had to go on lol
  6. Asda do tyres!!!! wow hadn't heard of that before £100 cheaper too!!! never thought id be buying tyres for my supra from asda thanks Annabella
  7. I was about 20 mile away from there last saturday... just passing though im like 2 and a half hours away sorry
  8. The Michelin Pilot sports are seeming the best choice from the amount of recommendations They are more expensive than my R888's were though at £383.70 but gotta pay for decent rubber. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=55876813.110.7866&Breite=315&Quer=30&Felge=18&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=Michelin&ranzahl=4&S_Z=&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&Herst=Michelin&rsmFahrzeugart=PKW&search_tool=standard&Label=E-A-74-2&details=Ordern&typ=D-113181

  10. Ok I had ordered these but just got a phonecall saying they sold the last set they had and cant get anymore in stock.... Just tried another place now though from a recommendation so hoping for a good response
  11. Thanks guys il have a little look at size availability tonight
  12. Alot of good reviews from the pilot sports so thats looking good thanks guys A friend of mine also mentioned these and he rated them highly too thanks Yeah iv used them on my dailys and I totally agree I love them in the wet they grip brilliant but couldn't find any in the size I want, although I didnt realise until you just said that they have been discontinued so that might be why lol, yeah would be interested to hear if someone has tried the Vorti
  13. When the Supra comes back out after the winter I will be having 2 sets of wheels... 1 iv decided on and ordered which is all about the dry weather grip but also il be having a second set for weekend trips etc where I could potentially be caught out by some rain. Just after some opinions on what tyres are great in the dry as I will only be taking it out in dry weather but also not horribly skiddy in the wet just incase I do get caught out The sizes im after will be 265/35/18 fronts and 315/30/18 rears so they must be available in these sizes... Thanks in advance for any opinions
  14. Another nice part ordered today... 2 x Mickey Thompson 325/50R15 ET Street Radials
  15. As mentioned a few times I think it depends on what your intended use is for the car and also if its a daily, im running just over 700 now and am going for more but thats only because I get a big buzz out of acceleration, I dont fly round corners and I have a daily so for my personal smiles it is higher bhp for straight line pulls
  16. 2009 so not sure if 7 years counts as old or not more middleish Do it do it do it
  17. A friend of mine has just got a good quote through elephant to and he's a young driver good luck with your search

  19. I think it varies a lot company to company, is worth checking out to make sure but with enough shopping around can usually find something decent

Sounds like a very nice car mate I do love the mkiii's aswell but unless your a paid up member your post will be deleted, it's worth paying up though and can stick it in the classifieds
  21. I never used to have a problem with uk spec to jspec quotes in my younger days, I was 19 when I had my first tt6 and I just got aload of online quotes for a uk spec as they wouldn't do online quotes for imports then but then just call them and state all the details are correct apart from the fact it was a import rather than a uk spec and most of the time they kept the same quote and when they changed it they were only a little extra, this was 10 year ago mind when I was 19 thou so know idea if it's still the same is worth checking this out Dan
