  1. Thanks mate yeah its looking like il be going down this route Yeah thats what I was thinking with mine really too, mainly just for looks but should still be good for straight line stopping
  2. Thanks mate for the suggestion, was speaking to him at Wroxall and seem to remember he had booked another holiday on the same dates
  3. Unfortunately my Supra wont be ready in time which means I can only do it in the Civic, I will happily do it in the Civic if no one wants my place but would be nice for a Supra owner to take their Supra on it. Details of the event are here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?337340-Applecross-2017 I have a Twin/Double En suite booked for it including a passenger and has all been paid (cost £345 including passenger) Asking £200 which includes all stated on the link above. I wont take any offers sorry as I would still enjoy doing it in the Civic and will do so if no one is interested but just thought id give you guys a chance first will only be available for a week or 2 sorry as I would need to give names to Gordy if anyone is interested. its a great weekend away
  4. very impressive bud, alot of magic happening 4,000-4,500rpm which is great for a hugeee turbo build
  5. Not very often people say that phrase to me
  6. Might well be this but my green supra only has j specs all round and as that will be running decent power I need to upgrade them really and as I have the rear UK's come off Sally (done that on purpose ) thought it made sense to use the fronts off her too for a complete set and get some new fronts for Sally (and an excuse to upgrade) Very interesting read and totally get the point that as its an even pressure applied and the front will work better under less pressure that the rears wont work as well.... just thinking for my type of driving whether it will make as big a difference as it will be just general road use and a few straight line stops from high speeds... it might well make to much difference but thats just what im trying to work out now Yeah im building it mainly as a show car just with a bit of go for an occasional bit of fun and maybe the odd drag or 2 so initial thoughts was that it would be ok but just gauging how unbalanced it would be from peoples opinions. Especially for my use I suppose I could do abit of trial and error and just try them out and if I dont like them I can switch back haha I do but looking to put the whole UK setup on the green Supra Thats a great read thanks for the link mate, I know for track use and "proper driving" Id need to fully take this into account but just gauging ow bad it would be from general driving as il admit now im a show queen and dont use it to anywhere near its potential Thanks for the measurements mate that sounds perfect Thanks for the advice everyone much appreciated, I know for track use balance would be the law but just gauging what it will be like for me only really doing straight line stops other than general driving
  7. Thankyou mate thats what I was hoping haha sorry mate but they will be going on the green one as the green one only has j spec's on atm haha nah that is a valid point to be honest it is more of a show queen than driven properly Just OEM atm that was another thought of mine was trying different pads, cheers for the info il have a little read
  8. hmm alot of interesting points.... was just thinking for my type of driving (straight line speed line and not track) that it would still benefit me... would it unbalance them enough to notice alot as like BoGIe says most of the braking is on the front and wouldn't be seeing track use...
  9. I have a UK Spec Supra so I still have UK Spec's on the front now but due to me having to downgrade the rear brakes to J Spec (to fit my 15 inch wheels over) im looking to upgrade the front brakes to compensate.... Looking to spend about the £1k mark give or take and have been looking at K Sports but also wanting to check dimensions as I dont really want to change my wheels and the wheels I am using have no daylight between the caliper and the spoke so would need to not stick out as far as UK spec calipers
  10. Thanks for all recommending Peter guys he's been very helpful and I have ordered one from him
  11. Colour looks beautiful, got it in the background of a pic as mine was up at Paul's at the same time. Great price too GLWS
  12. Thankyou mate il have a look now sorry for the limited knowledge questions but would all Karcher pressure washers have the same fitting for where the lance goes as this is only a small 12 year old one? and sorry for the rush but would I be able to get delivery by the weekend if so? Thanks for your response
  13. Im new to the whole car detailing world and after a snowfoam lance and some snowfoam... Iv been looking on amazon as im hoping to do this on the weekend so can use prime delivery but just wondered if you find much difference in lances etc...? Iv seen you can get types that go onto a pressure washer or just onto the end of a hose pipe... id guess the types that go onto a pressure washer would be better would they? Iv only got a 12 year old small Karcher pressure washer (unsure of model but does the job ok) Just after abit of advice as a newbie in this area
  14. I went for a slightly more "in your face" and "show" style when I done mine.... The lids are functional for hiding my 2 batteries, washer water tank, water meth tank and amp aswell as still having the space saver under the carpet in the centre section and a "little" bit of storage space in the centre compartment
  15. A couple of photo's received off Tim of the bottom end being built up
  16. Im probably off to Canada for a week mid/end of october... if dates dont clash then I will definitely come along to this Johnny G a little off topic but just always wondered about your avatar pic... being from Merseyside and having Hayley McQueen as your pic do you know her/have ever met her or just a fan and used that pic? She used to do alot on MUTV before she went to Sky Sports so seen her on TV alot lol
  17. Hello and welcome Assuming its the twin turbo (or single) model your looking at then yeah you will see a considerable price difference between the manual and the autos as the manual gearbox is worth so much money, will easily be £4-5k more expensive for a manual. You will hear alot of people saying not to disregard the autobox as its a great box and this is true it is a brilliant auto box but it still depends on your preference, having owned a few of each I would always still go for a manual but I see that the auto is a great drive still. On na's however the price difference is far less as the 5 speed w58 gearbox demands alot lower premium due to not being as strong, they will still be more expensive than the autos but only £1-2k difference. Good luck on your search
  18. haha im a United fan, got a season ticket too. shattered this week cos of being up to watch the preseason games at 3am with the time difference lol
  19. A fellow football fan dont get many on here, all my football mates hate cars and all my car mates hate football who do you support?
