  1. Thanks for the idea's guys, ideally was hoping that they would be available to buy in the same spec/size but in black only searching the internet is proving impossible to find any, I am favouring the idea of getting the chrome stripped and then blacking them though if I have to modify mine. The spec of them for the material etc to gauge an idea of possible processes is below...
  2. Wasn't sure I was ever going to write that thread title but hey there it is Basically with my Weld wheels I got for my rear I got some wheel nuts with them that are in chrome (pictured below). Ideally I want them in black but it is seeming to be impossible to get exact pattern replacements in black... I have found these which seem the closest match I can find but they are closed ends and doesn't specify the lengths of the nut to measure exact... would these work? or alternatively what is the best method or turning mine black as I spoke to Ibrar about powdercoating but he said the powdercoat would be to thick so all I can think of atm is paint which ideally I want alot better finish than that aswell as more durable. Thanks
  3. Hahaha nope and one more coming now... An idea of how its going to look now with the inlet manifold and cam cover on
  4. And Cam pulleys are on she's starting to look a beauty now
  5. A few pics of the inlet runners and the head being painted and the cams being fitted
  6. Thanks mate Yeah cant wait to hear what she sounds like
  7. If the shell of the car is good and all subframes and suspension components etc are good then thats a great budget that you will be able to see some good power but if alot of work on the shell is needed then you will be eating into that fairish before looking at performance. Your at the right place anyway for advice and info
  8. Thanks mate Haha yeah picking it up this friday cant wait to get it in now
  9. Haha yeah I didn't get her smiling but she does actually love my Supra's its great I took a snapchat video of her when I picked her up in my black Supra yesterday that will still be on my story for another hour or 2 if you happen to be browsing hahaha. Thanks mate yeah will be great to get stuck into the installation side
  10. As im collecting the engine this friday I got a few of the smaller jobs done over the weekend... Firstly just a sneaky pic of it up on the ramp (cant help taking photo's of it) Then wire brushed and cleaned all the underside and gave it another coat of underseal (I had done this about 6 months ago but thought it was worth another coat now before putting the engine, gearbox and diff back up next weekend), Here are the pics of after... Then went inside and started applying the sommet to the underside of the bonnet... (I had Gran supervising me to make sure I was doing a good job ) And now all is set to get stuck in to the main stuff this weekend after picking the engine up this friday
  11. Thanks for all your help guys
  12. Ahh ok I was thinking that could be an option, who do you get your ethanol from mate?
  13. Thats awesome I been looking at this lately too as mine says 2997cc and auto still so I need to get these updated
  14. Been searching the internet and found alot of different RON levels and prices of E85... Who does anyone on here buy their's off?
  15. Oh right ok thanks for the warning il have to speak to him soon then
  16. Thats great cheers mate was wondering if I needed a Cal switch or not but if the toucan can do all that then thats alot better Yeah totally agree id like to get as many safety sensors for monitoring via the syvecs as I can
  17. Ahh i see thankyou, the installation will be from Greg at pro-tuner so I will mention this cheers Ahh I didn't realise that the toucan had the ability to read such a wide range of safety features thats great yeah definitely any safety device that I am able to monitor via the toucan I would like to get to make extra sure and I am loving the idea of it shutting off the engine with things like the oil pressure dropping I think that is a definite. Thanks for your response thats a great insight into what can be monitored via the syvecs as its a totally new area for me Yeah I am running triple pumps so definitely need fuel pressure sensor, I did have a gauge reading this on my old twin pump setup but as it will come through the toucan that will probably be alot better. I did have a knock sensor going to my HKS knock/amp meter but unsure if the sensors are interchangeable or if they have to be syvecs specific? Ahh corse I didn't think about that I was thinking I wanted to round up all I needed now but thats great if Greg keeps alot of the sensors in stock, that will save me abit of time getting them. il chat to him and mention what iv got and see what he has to check that all is covered cheers Mark
  18. I've had a search around but alot comes up from the search words im using and finding it tricky to pinpoint the info im after. Basically i've never had anything to do with a syvecs until now and never done anything with ECU sensors or anything either but wondering what I need to do... Greg at pro tuner is installing it for me as this is an area I didn't want to risk getting wrong but just wondering what I need for my different options. The list of what I have is: Syvecs S6 ECU Harness NTK Map Sensor Boost Solenoid Kit FlexFuel Sensor Toucan Display Just wondering A) if there is anything else that I need or could be beneficial B) Do I need a cal switch or does the Toucan control all the functions that a Cal switch would and able to change maps via the toucan? C) I'm wanting anti-lag, launch control and traction control set up too would this be through the toucan or would I need additional switches or even would this be via a Cal switch? or what my options are? Thanks in advance and sorry for being a complete newbie to this area. Also thinking this may be a beneficial thread for people to find when searching in future
  19. Great figures mate very impressive, bet your itching for spring to come im booked in with Greg in march so always good to hear good reviews
