just meant both insured through same company, so can only afford to run one car and declared other SORN (its a volvo....can you blame him!!) therefore didnt have to pay deposit or anything as was existing insurer

well yeh he claimed, but protected no claims? does that not apply when changing insurance?

My bloke just got another supra, was insuring old (written off!) supra and another car with directline, so has now declared SORN on other car and directline quoted him £83 per month for a j spec n/a N reg supra......took it as needed insurance quickly and meant didnt need to pay up front! He has got protected NCD over 5 years and i think its a bit expensive? Does he get penalised if change it now? Breakdown cover is included..though it was when he did crash ( was wet and on a dodgy roundabout!!) 300 miles from home and they neither recovered or got him home! When arranging new policy he mentioned this.....and apparently they should have recovered and paid for him to get home.... (lesson - question more!!) Am a newbie at this, can you tell??! so any input be appreciated

extra 1200 for a TT , nice .....trouble is I need to sell my volvo first ...that could take months and I want a Supra like sooner ...my old supra was involved in an accident that rendered it a write off ....its been a month now without my supra , just cant wait to get back behind that wheel of a supe again ....if you know what I mean , if in a few months time I get the volvo sold then I'll sell whatever Supe I have at the time and put the monies together , then 5 k would be a much better budget , untill then budget remains at 2.8 k maximum ....

cheers but ive already seen three on Pistonheads , but two are over 100 k miles and one is silver ..call me fussy ....oh and n/a auto yes ...

ok everyone, Iv'e 2.8 k to spend on a Supra , would prefer under 100 k mileage though , preferably white , .......! shame I would have 5 k but would need to sell my Volvo V70 T5 230 BHP,( sorry to mention Volvo on this site ..lol) which is currently on Pistonheads....but that could be a while so am looking for a reasonable Supe for just under £3 k
