  1. How not to react to a speeding ticket - awesome video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j3w1QfV35I
  2. It was the latter, natch Just called my ISP and yes, they are having some DNS issues so mystery solved. Move along, nothing to see here...
  3. Sorry, I didn't catch that, my internet's broken you see...
  4. Is anyone else having the same problems? I can't connect to YouTube, eBay or countless other sites tonight, keep getting DNS errors. Just chatting to my friend and she can't log onto those sites either.

    M3 or M5?

Well, mine was a UK so I was clearly handicapped to start with... I was faster, and he got the drop on me so I was playing catch up by a second or so, and I would have pulled out a bigger lead had we had more room, but it wasn't what you'd call a whitewash.

    M3 or M5?

Yes, that's the one. Admittedly, that gearbox did bump up the running costs but we ran another one in the mag that notched up £6k of warranty repairs in six months... We were at an airfield so I know we were both absolutely on it. Maybe the one you tussled with just wasn't being driven to the full extent of its abilities.

    M3 or M5?

I raced an E39 M5 in my BPU Supra from 50-120 and there was maybe 1 car length in it, if that. It's international, and the best site for all your M5 needs. Big, much bigger than the on paper figures might suggest. The E46 M3 is a very quick car, no two ways about it - sub-5 seconds to 60 isn't hanging about. I love the E39 M5 and would dearly love one, especially now that the cheapest cars, not even mega mileage examples, are down to £7k. The only thing that would put me off are the running costs. My editor was lucky enough to run one for just over a year as a company car recently and the total running costs for 22,000 miles, not including fuel, depreciation, insurance, Tax or MOT, came to £8500. Fuel, incidentally, came to £5500...
  8. It's worth noting that 1080p TVs often have a worse picture when it comes to regular TV broadcasts and non-HD sources. And you won't notice the difference between 1080p and 720p on a 32" TV anyway, 720p looks stunning. As has already been stated, you should *never* go by the TV's performance as seen in a shop - they never set the picture up as it should be, the guidelines for the ideal picture being: Brightness: +/-45% Contrast: +/-65% Colour: +/-50% Oh, and for God's sake, if you really, truly value picture quality and want the best possible TV for your budget, don't ever buy a TV without reading some reviews first! My friend bought a 42" TV that was cheap and while it looks great with an HD source, watching regular TV on it is shocking. Personally, I'd rather pay more or buy a smaller TV and get one that I know is the best around.
  9. My personal highlight is the airbrushed tornado on the back that appears to be flinging the car itself off the road and into a ditch...

    Mini cooper

Nothing amazing but nippy enough and handles beautifully, really well sorted chassis. Ride is poor though as is space in the back and some of the interior fit/finish on the earlier cars isn't brilliant. But strong resale values and plenty of spec make them a good choice.

  12. I know this has been posted before but from what I can tell it's been almost a year since it was last mentioned. It's one hell of a video, it gives me goosebumps and some members may not have seen, so I'm not ashamed to post it again http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ia2OE2Amvj0
  13. I hear it's terrifying.
  14. You could have single colour, but the two-tone was a NCO I think. Loads of AMGs have it and it looks horrific...
  15. Recently I received a message on YouTube from someone asking if I had any videos of me pumping the accelerator pedal and revving my car. Clearly, there was some ulterior motive behind this, and checking out his profile this site was listed among his favourites... http://www.sockstarsonline.com/
  16. I didn't find BWP scary at all - I was more bored than scared.
  17. Thanks for all the suggestions, guess I must have seen just about all the good horrors out there as a lot of those are favourites of mine too. Out of all the stuff mentioned the few I haven't seen are Silent Hill, REC (bought a copy last night), Audition, The Eye, Wolf Creek and a couple of others so will give those a try.
  18. Ah yes, I have the original languishing in my collection, desperate for a good watching. Remember seeing some stuff about this, looked quite good. Will hunt down the JDM version. Seen two of the original Rings, which I really enjoyed, might have a go at The Eye too. Cheers for those.
  19. I've seen loads but that's the thing, trying to find new stuff that I haven't seen and which is actually scary. Lot of crap out there and was hoping to find an ultimate list but I've either seen them or they're not going to be scary enough. Not seen the Saws though and everyone keeps saying I'd like them so really should get round to that.
  20. I get scared really easily and I love a good horror film, gives me a real buzz. Watched The Grudge on TV the other dy and nearly shat myself and was then too scared to go to sleep. Brilliant My friend who also loves horror films suggested we do a horror marathon and I was trying to think of some really scary films to watch but all the scary movie lists I found on Google were rubbish. What are people's top truly scary, jump out of your skin terrifying horror films?
