  2. Bear in mind that if you've got home cinema and want both HDMI and 5.1 surround sound, you can't do this with the Premium unless you crack open the video/optical out connector casing as you can't physically plug both leads in together. If you're in this position just buy an Elite as the necessary Microsoft cable costs £30 while an Elite is £50 more than a Premium.
  3. Unfortunately, despite my TV having an optical out running an HDMI cable from the 360 to the telly and an optical lead from the TV into my amp did not give me 5.1 and my amp doesn't have an HDMI in to retreive the digital audio signal so it was a case of spend £30 or butcher the cable with the 360 optical out.
  4. Pro does have HDMI but doesn't come with the cable you need in order to be able to have an HDMI picture and 5.1 surround sound at the same time. This cable isn't available from the UK and by the time you do buy it, for around £30, you may as well have bought an Elite which not only comes with the cable but also an HDMI lead. If you don't have home cinema then it's not a big deal I suppose, or you can just 'modify' the cable the machine comes with
  5. I was under the impression that this film is meant to be grainy and was shot in such a way that made it appear like this. Try watching something bright and colourful!
  6. You could get a very recent Merc S500 for that money!
  7. In good condition with some cosmetic scratches, comes complete with Supra harness. As well as being a turbo timer it'll also show speed, volts and revs and can act as a shift light, turning red and beeping when preset revs are reached. £5 delivery extra. Here's a picture of one, though not mine
  8. SBC iD-III boost controller £155 delivered Power Meter sold! Limited edition boost controller, in used but good condition with only a couple of scratches. 95% complete, only missing a few pipes and connectors but these are available from various places. Worked great when it was fitted. Here's what the unit looks like, though this isn't a picture of my actual one.

    My new watch

Well it's certainly different, I'll say that much and besides, the fact that you like is what matters.

    Self indulgent.

Excellent choice, I've always loved the Navitimer in all its various incarnations. Here's my 50th Anniversary:

    Bmw Tr4

It's not actually real - if you read the text you'll see that they say 'this is what a new Triumph could look like' so they've had a slow news week, know that BMW wants to launch a new 'fourth brand' and will have seen that a bunch of Triumph sites have suddenly been registered in a short space of time so photoshopped an ugly vision of what they reckon a new Triumph might look like.
  12. I bought both last week, felt like spoiling myself. I love Motorstorm and Heavenly Sword on PS3, and the fact that it's a Blu Ray player and will upscale my DVDS but the 360 is cheaper and has more games and better online play. If I had to choose just one it would be tough, but currently I think 360 can offer more immediate gaming satisfaction. Come the New Year though, I think PS3 will begin to really shine.

    Pgr4

I like it a lot, it's PGR but with more bits. Bikes are disappointing though
  14. I recommend ConvertXtoDVD, fantastic piece of kit.
  15. Woah, I am liking the look of this. Has potential for awesomeness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rz5NekSUTM
  16. In store mate, the Virgin site has no bundles iirc.
  17. Actually that's a pants deal - I bought my 60gb today with 2 games (out of a selection of 6 or so, went for Heavenly Sword and Motorstorm) and an extra pad for £350 from Virgin. Their other deal on the 60gb was 2 games and 2 Blue Ray movies for £350, but out of the five or so on offer, there was only one I actually wanted to see and a second pad is around £30 and will come in more useful so I went for that. These two deals are the equal of all the others I've seen so this is the kind of thing you should be aiming for.

    40gb PS3 anyone?

I was reading that you can actually fit any size drive you like as long as it's the right type (obviously) - there are instructions in the PS3 owners manual and fitting a larger drive yourself won't actually invalidate the warranty.

    40gb PS3 anyone?

I've bought some pads and accessories off there before but never knew they sold games that would woork on British consoles! Excellent

    40gb PS3 anyone?

Reckon the value pack might be the way forward, though every chance the two games will be shite. Also worthy of note is the fact that all 360s now come with HDMI, not just the Elite, which suddenly makes it look very expensive.

  22. Slightly off topic, does anyone who has a 360 have the HD-DVD add on and if so, is the quality good?
