    Your dream Supra

.. naturally but seriously if money wasnt an object id hunt this bad boy down...
  4. yeah i stole the pic from the earlier thread
  5. yeah, i wanna get the car up to ryan once i get a couple more hundred miles on the clock, as hes so far away wanna get everything done in one hit. At the moment its not a major prob as it always starts and its not my daily driver.. just is annoying more than anything, cheers for the info anyway mate we shall see how i get on
  6. autronic SMC, the car was mapped originally.. but due to problems has had more work done, i.e new piston rings etc. so will need to be mapped again once ive done a few more miles. was kinda hoping it was just a case of the mapping but was wondering if there were any over idea's people had
  7. hi peeps just got a small issue i was wonderin if i could get some advise on which is more annoying than anything.. from cold the car starts fine everytime.. however if the car is warm i turn the key and car just delays starting for what seems like forever (realisticaly it varies in time say 5-10+ seconds), if i persist and keep turning the engine over eventually she starts but i have to get the gas on otherwise she goes to stall straight after firing. One time i didnt give it gas and the car died straight after starting, and it took several attempts of turning the engine over to get her started which she did eventually really hesitantly link to the car spec for those that dont know it.. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=3115 it cranks fine, i.e turning over normal speed so doesnt sound like iffy starter or battery, so im thinking along the lines of a temp sensor and over fueling? atm the car is still being run in so hasnt been mapped yet, could it just be a simple issue which would be ironed out after mapping? but im a mechanical retard so any other suggestions? after going out for a long drive the other night i switched off and though id just see if she would start again and fired up as soon as i turned the key so it doesnt always hesitate when warm, but just my luck always seems to happen when i have people watching
  8. pm'd i will take everything u have if i can afford it
  9. Just like a def leppard gig? Couple of mates went to see them In teignmouth and by all accounts were very good live, not my cup of tea tho
  10. so after months of looking, and years of dreaming. i finally have the car ive wanted since i was a kid. spent all day with vaughany from these forums yesterday making probably the most important decision in my eyes of my life (yes it is more important than getting married, moving jobs or having a kid by far haha). i must say a big thanks to vaughany for being so patient with me. Also wanna say thanks to everyone who i have seen over the last few weeks/months from this forum which i came and viewed, i havnt seen one bad supra in my time looking on these forums, just i have been real picky in what i was looking for i think. just a pic we took with crappy iphone before setting off on the way home, didnt get back til fairly late as i drive like a complete woman so will get some more piccies today now must dash im off to go clean her..
  11. ok so still looking for that perfect supra.. but my question is really to the guys down the southwest, devon specifically who do you use to look after your pride and joy..? im based in Torquay.. now the nearest Dyno i know of is Alan Jeffreys down plymouth but in all fairness im not gunna mind travelling up to someone like RyanG to make sure im looked after properly for something like mapping etc, but for general care + more involved jobs does anyone have any mechanics/garage recommendations locally? im looking into ready built singles so really will be needing someone trustworthy and who know what they doing.
  12. yup i think so, used to see them both parked together up barton all the time
  13. think that is right unfortunatly mate, if the damage would cost more than the value of the van to fix they'd obviously write it off.. when i had a write off many years ago they deducted the excess from my payout (essentially the same) so unless the van was worth less than £600 you'd be liable to pay the first £600 of any insurance claim.. im only guessing tho, im no expert
  14. i was really tempted with this as a base to start a decent project, but is so damn far away from me to get a look at it
  15. animal pak is another good multi-vit etc
  16. its just cus your in the habit of not eating it. i was exactly the same and had a terrible diet, only way you'll change is to introduce different textures and foods slowly, like you would as a child, only its easier as a kid as everything is new. i hated all fruit and again it was textures.. i hated pasta and rice cus it had no taste yet it was chewy i mean WTF? i hated fish cus all i could think about was the little fookers swimming around yet why didnt i have a problem with bacon? lol, eventually i just started forcing it down me.. now i actually like it all. just for the record tv over dramatises real life to make programs more appealing. i didnt avoid apples cus i was an abused child lol, and the reason i didnt eat greens wasnt cus i had a recurring memory of my mother stuffing an asparagus down my pants , its all bs i didnt like the stuff cus i was never made to eat it, end of. an id put money its the same for u mate
  17. some people just have crap diets.. without sounding like a sob story from jeremy kyle.. i grew up with my parents working all hours i was left to myself and never had cooked meals round a table.. i practically lived off toast and cereal, eventually i ballooned to over 20 stone before deciding to sort myself out, so sometimes it isnt crap.. id never grown up with the food, so never liked it, and trying to get urself to enjoy and try these new foods you'd never felt the texture of, or taste of by the time ur past ur teens is hard.. but i did it
  18. while what people is saying above is true MRP's have worked for me in the past to a degree. My diet was rubbish and i thought meal replacements + multi-vitamins would be all i needed. but if your not eating the right foods along side no supplementation is gunna be your holy grail. I went over a year thinking spending all this money on supplements would get me my perfect body, was only after a big wake up call from friends etc that i realised i was never gunna get anywhere without changing my lifestyle, ive started to eat fruit and veg which i used to hate.. cut out crappy carbs like white bread completely, built up my protein intake (from actual food not shakes) and now except my 1 cheat day a week my diet is really getting somewhere.. but still not perfect my advice would be to build up slow.. get yourself accustomed to proper food again 1 stage at a time, but in the mean time use the Meal Replacements and multi-vitamins etc to give your body something to work with, rather than nothing. the main reason u dislike these foods is because u never eat them, i literally forced myself to try new foods almost urging to begin with, but my last meal of the day i would make something i really enjoyed.. now over time ive actually made fruit my treats during the day etc my 2 penny's anyway
