Okay another engine has came up 80,000kms from.an.auto, compression test came back 175psi across the board, is that more reasonable? =/

Another engine but not sure if they'll compression test it =( separate company btw haha you recon it's too bad? He said its in a acceptable percentage at 40% but im anal and what the perfect block =)

I can forward the email (my phone wont let me copy and paste) =(. He says it was from the exhaust valve which could either be pitted or a bit of carbon build up that should cure itself? =/

Okay, so ive been plotting to do a 1jz gte conversion on.my na and want a perfect candidate and think I may have found it until I got back the results of a compression test... the test found that 5/6 cylinders had readings between 0-10% which apparently very good.. =) however, cylinder 5 showed a leak of 40%... Im no mechanic but is that extremely bad or okay? He reckons Its good for a secondhand engine, but how true is that? Im not questioning this guy's ability and hes been so open and informative through this engine hunt.. Should I bite the bullet and take this? Need everyone's thoughts! =) Many Thanks Dan

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Im looking to get a few parts through these chaps, they have a good reputation on the Driftworks forum (driftworks cars use them for cages etc) but not sure if anyone here has had any dealings with them? Are they reliable and trustworthy, cash is far to easy to hand over nowadays for poor service and low grade products. Need some reassurance. Any input will be greatly appriciated, Dan

okay, r154 box = £500 driftmotion are doing a bellhousing for approx £200. a stock flywheel (new) = £175 a stock clutch kit = ?? (not checked yet, but stock will be fine for the time being, so anyone have a spare lying around pm me ...) prop is apprantly around the cost of the fly so another £200. shift extension = £120 and speed sensor = £90 a rough grand total including this box will be = £1.5k so expensive! if anyone has any of the following parts that they are selling cheaper though PM me haha

Never really been.involved in anything to do with this engine but going.to be very soon =). Are these very similar to the 2jzgte in the idea of tuning, for example BPU on this motor can still.be achieved by decatting the car etc, just want a list of mods people would do if they had one of these so I can start my shopping list =).
