  1. somethings not right there i can cruise at 25 mpg no problem on a 3.4 stroker.
  2. it will be an issue but good semi slicks help alot, im putting down 760 rwhp fairly well on r888s enough to do 0 - 100 mph in 7 seconds i think with practice i will be in the 6 sec bracket. heres a vid not launching admitadly and on 1.65 bar so around 680 rwhp and i get to 85 mph in that video easily enough all within 1/8 mile road total, you can hear tyres screaching abit but it is pulling hard pinning me in the seat anyways but it is a serious handful compared a gtr no denying that, if you want something easiest to drive get the skyline it will put the power down much better but if you want something a bit more lairy and alot more reliable then get a supra imo.
  3. i miss the easy launching and 3 second 0 - 60 mph of my gtr but everything else i prefer with my supra.
  4. they cannot rebuild an engine for that price it isnt possible so you will be buying a bodge imo, id rather buy a second hand motor that ive seen running in a car or at least with a proper build receipt like my gtr engine which sold for £3300 bare tall motor, much more than the crap on ebay but he knows it will last as its a proper pro built motor. just think about it it doesnt take much to work it out, buying an engine from a car breaker or someone breaking there car good chance you can hear engine running and should be good for a while if come from a road going car, what engines do you think this dodgy company take in on exchange good runners ! lol they will be getting knackered engines in exchange bodging them and banging them out for naff all money, now surely that expalins my view on it in enough detail ?
  5. anyone that even looks at the add and contemplates it shouldnt be driving a tuned car im afraid, its pretty much as simple as that ! lol
  6. i cant wait to see your power run jamie once ryan is finished, judgeing by your 0 - 190 mph time its gonna be 4 figures surely
  7. i totally agree ive been in a 250 hp 2 ltr rst and that was quite quick would suprise a stock or bpu supra for sure, pound for pound a supra can be taken way beyond any rs ford has to offer hence why i have one, but in the lesser tuned category it can be done to an rs and be quite quick the trouble is some people on here think supras are just the ultimate car end of, it seems a common issue some slightly tuned car owners have blinkers on ! lol
  8. for me jamie saph feels better to drive imo my 500 hp 3 door was twitchy on the front but all my saphs drove nice.
  9. just r888s 2.0 zetec, 129 mph terminal is quick imo and its not just a drag car, tracked aswell.
  10. mo is a prize tool no doubt about that but dont be fooled there is a couple of fiesta turbos road cars in the 11s and almost 130 mph terminals at pod, an rst can and will beat a bpu supra but needs to be a proper specced up rst not some dreaming dimwits.
  11. i really dont know its safe and runs fine plenty of power but im just wondering just how much i could gain ?
  12. does anybody have any information on optimum timing for these cams ? mine are currently set at 4d retarded on both cams ? im thinking there will be a far more optimum setting than that. im just curious what gains i can make and if its worth the cost.
  13. i can comment on this heres the bottom line, on pirelli p zero rosso n1s porsche 911 tyres i had no traction below 110 mph, i now have full traction from 60 mph on r888s that are 10mm narrower, and first and second gear although sliughtly spinning nowhere near as bad as the pirellis. i cannot express how much difference it has made i went from 0 - 100 mph in 10 seconds down to 0 - 100 mph in 7 seconds just from tyre change. the a048s are supposedly even better than r888s but they dont do them in 19s so i had no choice. on big power cars they are the only choice mate nothing else will do.
  14. i got quoted for these 295/30/19s £1200 for a pair ! flippin ridiculous got r888s from camskill for £538
  15. i guess i am not the best at explaining things, just trying to help though fella
  16. no ecu will be in closed loop at wot it will be in open loop reading off the map table that was mapped at time of mapping. closed loop is for light throttle applications off boost to hold fueling around schiometric 14.7 afr, to help fuel economy.
  17. lol what exactly has been explained then ? nothing as far as i can see other than map it at full boost and it will sort itself out for everything below it, what else exactly has been explained ? lol
  18. lol any concepts, do what, what are you talking about man. im not a mapper no but ive had alot of tuned cars and its not the best idea to own and tinker with these cars if you have no clue how they work, just take it to a tuner DO NOT JUST INCREASE THE BOOST ive told you what was done to my car not just hear say things as i said, tbh ask a tuner i cant see any point in me trying to share my understanding of it with you anymore !
  19. of coarse not it doesnt work that way it must be mapped at the highest boost setting first. your op is about running lower boost pressures not higher.
  20. your talking about bpu there getting the maximum out before injectors are flatout. ive had a car mapped to 2.2 bar on a 3 bar map sensor which technically shouldnt be doable but all he did was map it to fuel for 2.2 bar when the map sensor sees 2 bar the problem with this is if you do then run 2 bar it will be rich as theres no actaul 2 bar site in the map, but if i wanted to go down to say 1.6 bar it was fine. my supra was mapped at 2.05 bar and i watched it on the dyno at 1.65 to 2.05 bar on all 3 boost settings and the fueling is fine. at the end of the day any tuned car should have a wideband on the car all the time you know what its doing then as you alter the boost, mine holds around 11.1 afr at wot.
  21. it will fuel relevant to your map sensor so when the map sees less boost it will lower the inj duty aswell.
  22. i have access to a longer private road but it is concrete and not as level.
  23. here you go mate log book says date of first registration october 2000 but i have just noticed on the front of v5c is says was registered overseas declared manufactured 1999.
  24. i would say ridiculously overpriced, mine was only £27500 2000 41000 miles and 900 bhp. surely its only worth half that value isnt it ?
