  2. lots of fun imo you get to just use the car, your wife doesnt divorce you due to spending to long in the garage converting the car yourself trying to save money, the car is worth what you paid for it when you sell it so dont loose a fortune like when converting one yourself, its win win win as long as you buy the right car.
  3. if you dont enjoy giving your money away then just buy one already done. by the time you buy a mint tt supra then convert it it will cost a fortune it will be all new but cost ridiculous ammounts of money and only be worth 50% of the cost when you sell it, theres a couple of 900 hp cars for sale for £26000 just buy one of those. theres also a 800 hp thor built supra for sale for £20000
  4. 100% agreed with that, alot of my time is lost off throttle and shifting about 0.5 seconds per gear change for me admitadly with some mechanical sympathy though. theres a skyline that changed to auto abroad and his times plumeted from it.
  5. i have them in my engine hks 272s making 880 hp and they havnt been dialed in properly so could no doubt make abit more.

  7. i wouldnt build a 3.4 from scratch but as ive got it il keep it, my car starts dropping power at 7000 rpm anyways so pointless revving higher anyways i normally shift at 7000. gtx42 is next on my list mate when it fails to go with the new head should = 1100 hp. hopefully il be at suprapod and get a good look at your car, but it depends on the harvest how im getting on with it.
  8. 7600 rpm as to hks specification although positive it could go higher safely, im 100 whp up on yours at 5000 rpm on 2.05 bar boost but beyond that you just leave me gaining over 200 whp more at the top ! i know how savage mine feels on the road i cant begin to imagine what yours is like it must be awesome fella it looks to light em up easy enough in the vid

  11. thats exactly my position i love my 19" volks so got the best rubber i could get in my size which is r888s. i have a set of 17" avs rims for drag currently on yoko advan slicks to try out first.
  12. you said not quite running my power so just answered in relation to that, a048s arent available for 19" rims so r888s are second best choice. drag radials cant be used legally on uk roads.
  13. a little more power makes a big difference thats 100% gauranteed, theres a massive difference in grip on the r888s going from 1.6 bar upto 2.05 bar boost
  14. dont worry about it, i have a brand new £2500 carbonetics tripple and a brand new £5000 6 speed toyota box and it makes noises all the time, nothing to worry about if its doing it from brand new.

  16. here you go this is my best so far and not perfect yet i need more seat time to get it perfected. this is unprepped tarmac 1/4 mile terminal and 30 - 130 mph reflect the on the move performance. even with 2 gearchanges when it should be 1 for a fair comparison im still quicker than a mclaren f1 road cars 60 - 120 mph time
  17. i run a hks t51r spl bb which is based on a gt42, im running 295/30/19 r888s and put down 670 whp 1.65 bar it does spin a bit accelerating hard in second gear and full traction in 3rd, but at 2.05 bar 760 rwhp around 875 fwhp traction in 3rd does struggle sometimes. as an example i was on pirelli pzero rosso porsche 911 tyres first and the car would literally just light the tyres and hit the limiter at 100 mph is was undriveable below 100 mph 0 - 100 mph was over 10 seconds now with the r888s although it does sort of squeel the tyres and leave black lines everywhere it doesnt just spin up to the limiter its sort of accelerating very hard and squeeling at the same time 0 - 100 mph is now down to 7 seconds just with the tyre change. camskill with discount was £540 for 2 delivered gt42r turbos are rated to 1000 bhp so at 24 psi you should be around 700 crank hp id of thought.

  19. lol i couldnt shake off an r1 until i hit 4th gear with 880 bhp ! must of been a 125cc replica if you beat it in an na lol
  20. i honestly dont know its how it was when i bought the car 8 weeks ago, its been on the dyno and is safe but more power and better spool should be available with better cam timing, i think id rather wait til the new head is on then have cam timing optimised. i may be going bigger cams aswell. i am going by the hks cam pulleys i havnt actually checked it, but seeings as the whole engine is all hks im assuming there quite accurate.
  21. weigh up how much your car has cost with buying and modding ? 20k ? can you get your car to this spec with 8k, id highly doubt it. tbh he doesnt need to proove anything its a bargain as it is even if its just 750 hp, theres no gaurantees with a car like this as im sure others will agree it may last ages or not as the case may be, and if you cant accept or afford that then its best not to own a car of this calibre. veyron and maclaren f1 comfortable pace road cars for under £30k is an absolute bargain imo. you will never get a car like jamie ps car for £28k id guess hed want at least double that assuming hed ever sell it which he probably wouldnt, ive tryed to tempt but to no avail last year
  22. a hell of alot of car for the money, price it up youd get nowhere near it with 28k building it yourself and then possibly a divorce at the end of it as youve spent 2 years in the garage ! lol supra in the pic looks awesome, is that the one in gt5 ?
  23. its on a t51r spl bb but power does start dropping from 7k rpm mainly due to cam timing i think as both cams are 4d retarded, im not sure on exact spec of current head but i have an andy @ amt head ready to go fully ported with 1mm bigger valves.
  24. have you had extra balancing done ? does it proove reliable at that rpm ? fair play fella
