  1. I'll try and check in, I get withdrawl symptoms if I leave it to long...........addicted, no not me.
  2. AFAIK all UK's have LSD.
  3. Good preperation I see!
  4. Just watched it, took me back, great stuff!
  5. Are they chrome lip or polished alloy with laquer over the top? Would'nt recommend the use of fairy as it contains sodium and will strip any wax protection that you have built up. HTH
  6. Simon thanks but as per title I want a J-spec one. Already got a UK one.
  7. Hi Any of you fellas with aftermarket front ends want rid of your stock front bumper? Must be in silver and VGC. Can collect over Xmas if near enough. Many thanks Rich
  8. Most auto boxes contain both brake bands and multi plate clutches.
  9. Just hope she dose'nt want to cuddle it.
  10. After seven years I did that deal last May................married bliss,
  11. Now thats one taxi I would love to see go round a track.
  12. Yes.........this can be a tricky one as I have found in the past, buy her something easy but expensive, shes dissapointed. Buy her lots of cheap crappy sparkly shiny bits and pieces and she thinks you have gone to loads of effort Funny beasts.
  13. Nice one Rosie.........its alive.
  14. Looks a great calendar, fantastic pics. But I'll stick to our own. Thanks. Rich
  15. Just seen the Give Blood advert with the dopey fuzzy haired fuckwit in it. Not convinced. Time will tell.
  16. As Faye says - too skinny all round you want at least 8" front 9.5" rear.
  17. Good informative replies folks thanks very much. I realise the V8 kits are going to be particularily nose heavy but really want to own a V8 at some point (love the noise). The Elise also seems good but as my nearest track is Goodwood motor racing circuit (only 10 miles) the general opinion from the instructors there is that they run out of puff on the two long straights. This also confirms what I have read on the track day forums. Really as I will be new to this I want one ready to go without any engine swaps etc. To those that have owned or seen most of these, is there much difference in the build quality of these fibreglass cars ie is Lotus better built than TVR/Westfield/Dax etc? Thanks all. Rich
  18. Hi all Got bored and started looking at autotrader as you do. When I finish my course in June and start full time work again I will consider purchasing a used road legal track day / fun car. I would be looking at spending no more than £10k tops, this is what I have listed so far: 1) Tattyish J-spec TT Supra - stripped and caged. 2) Lotus Elise MK1 3) Westfield Seight 3.9 V8 4) Ginetta G20 5) Dax Rush 3.5 V8 6) TVR Chimera 400/450/500 Any thoughts? Have I missed any gems, any of them lemons. Especially as some of you have had experience with running some of the more focused track day machinery. All input welcome, pros, cons, and ownership experience etc many thanks Rich
  19. 36 psi all round on stock 17's. I would double check your tyre sizes though!
