  1. Exactly Paul I want to get to the bottom of whether this is good practice or not as many garages will carry out this procedure as part of a service. Does it serve a purpose on nearly new cars for example? Or generally speaking for our not so new Supras is this not required? What does engine fulsh actually contain? Petrol derivitives? Apologies for any spelling, been out and a bit pissed now. Ta Rich
  2. Sorry to hear this Joe, only remember this looking so good at the Brighton meet the other day. My guess is CJ's aswell.
  3. Hi Rich Do you mean the additive that you pour in, do you know what it consists of? Ta
  4. Added to the old engine oil, run up to temp then drained, before oil change. Any good? Anyone do this when they oil change? Or not needed? Opinions. Ta Rich
  5. If weather is good and I'm not working I'll be there.
  6. John, not knowing much about liners, is this why a decat has such a bad effect on these engines? Ta Rich
  7. Did any of the video clips come out OK?
  8. Great fun, nice to meet up with you all, we will have to do another one soon. Joe's Soarer is a BEAST.
  9. From what I understand option 1 is Ok. After you have done this run the car up to temp and check that you are getting hot air from the heater fans. Anything else? HTH
  10. Sorry to worry you but from the first pics they looked irregular to me which can happen when the springs are heated up in situ on the car then the weight of the car squashes (lowers) the springs/car. Believe me I have seen and smelt this being done by some of the monkeys where I work, then the fire extinguishers going off because the intense heat from the gas axe has caused the wheel arch liners to catch fire. In the pics that you have just posted they seem a lot better. I am sure someone who is more familiar with the coil shapes of aftermarket lowering springs will be able to confirm. I hope this turns out OK for you.
  11. Depends if you want to use it mainly for track or road. I intend to track mine this year at some point. So far: Decent seats / harnesses UK brakes with motul RBF Braided lines CW pads CW SMIC BPU Stock 17's for track Prob more that I cant think of at mo. Will be upgrading to CW suspension this year. Apparantly he may be doing several different setups to suit. Semi strip interior if you want - back seats and spare wheel etc. Then I think its tyres, tyres, tyres and weight reduction/cooling. I am sure someone will come along with far more suggestions/knowledge very soon. HTH Rich
  12. All to comon theses days, drivers tend to want to blame YOU for THEIR bad driving. Muppets.
  13. I'm afraid I tend to agree I have witnessed this being done at work by some of my so called 'colleagues', not a pretty sight. Especially when the wheel arch liners catch on fire. I hope this is not the case here though.
  14. Fantastic weather here in sunny Littlehampton, hope it lasts all day. Is someone going to bring a camera? I'm bustin the beast out of winter hibination, its unbroken sunshine ATM, thats probably cursed it then.
  15. OK I am familiar with that road so if its sunny I'll see you there at 11.30am:)
  16. Might pop along depending on weather. What/where is Black rock, is there parking? Cheers Rich

I've just been for a 5k run along our glorious seefront and got a load of abuse of two middle aged gits who I told to get off there feckin bikes! Scum.
  18. Too fussy, don't like the wheels.
  19. Jeez that must have been a short one.
  20. I have checked the TV guide and it says another best of show, surely the latest series has'nt finished yet? Or is the mag wrong, anyone know? Ta Rich
  21. Hi Ark, just been down this very route myself. I too did not like to buy off the internet as you do need to test fit for size. In the end I used a local bike shop and tried on many different types from £50 up to £250. As I only need it for occassional track use I opted for an Arashi, only cost me £50, fits perfect, has fully removable washable liner & is full face. I think it is the "turbo". I also phoned a few track day organisers (book a track, easy track, mithril racing) to check whether a ACU gold or ECE 22-05 type approved bike helmets would be OK and they all said yes. HTH Rich
  22. Making the beer look even bigger?
